VICTORIAN SLIDERS HAS ADDED Ecobuild to its busy exhibition calendar for 2017, which also includes a major presence at this year’ s FIT Show in May and Glassbuild America which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia in September.
10 elegant and eye-catching ECOSlide sash windows will be displayed around the sizeable Victorian Sliders island stand at Ecobuild 2017, held at ExCeL in London’ s Docklands from 7th-9th March.
“ We are keen to surprise and delight specification professionals, including design and build housebuilding contractors and building refurbishment specialists, with the quality of our
ECOSlide PVCu vertical sliding sash windows,” says Mark Schlotel, Marketing Director at Victorian Sliders.
“ This exhibition gives specifiers the opportunity to inspect our products in detail,” continues Mark.“ We manufacture our own hardware and it is the finer points, such as the carefully shaped detailing on all our operating hardware components that carry a 10-year mechanical product guarantee. Every window we make features an extruded“ anti-jemmy” security bar as standard as an integral part of the cill. The tilt and easy-clean functionality provides another major plus point when comparing our products to timber box sash windows.”

GENEROUS DONATION TO CHILDREN’ S HOSPICE

INDUSTRY-LEADING SYSTEMS supplier The VEKA UK Group has raised an astounding £ 12,191.78 over the past year for Lancashire children’ s hospice, Derian House. Staff across every department of the company threw themselves into fundraising for this fantastic local cause.
Head of Human Resources Gabriela Hammond explains:“ We usually choose two charities to support per year, dedicating six months of activities to each. In 2016, we focussed solely on Derian House and I, for one, am amazed at what has been achieved. It was a pleasure to present such a significant contribution to a charity which
does invaluable work in Lancashire.
“ It’ s part of our company’ s ethic to give back to the community that we’ re a part of, whether that is by engaging in youth enterprise initiatives; careers events; sponsorship for sports teams or events, or by supporting local charities such as Derian House.“ The fundraising activities this year were varied to say the least! We had everything from marathons and merchandise sales, to collection tubs, Christmas card donations and baby sweepstakes. We even sold the furniture from our FIT Show exhibition stand and donated the proceeds.”

The GGF through its Fire Resisting Glazing
Group( FRGG) promotes, develops and champions the application of best practice in the use of fire-resistant glazing systems with a recognition of their responsibilities in ensuring fitness for purpose in the event of fire.
