New product
enhancements
offers more effective
manufacturing
MACO continues to develop
service and product solutions for
the fabricator, recently launching the
M-SPAG casement shootbolt system
and C-TS combined door lock.
»»THE COMPANY HAS NOW
launched a new tilt turn system;
a multi-functional system adapt
for all window shapes using
minimal components and semi
or full automated options.
The system enhances security at
the bottom of the window to offset
any attempt of forced entry, an
additional tilt position offers night
vent facility and a built-in run up
block and sash lifter counteracts
any possible sash dropping or
mishandling; ensuring a smooth
running safe window operation for
many years.
The MACO i.S mushroom
cams offer fabricators a window
which is impervious and secure,
saving costs and creating satisfied
customers, and used with
standard cam strikers for basic
security or with MACO i.S
Security strikers to upgraded to
PAS24. Strikers can be retrofitted
to increased security.
When turning the handle
45 degrees, an additional night
ventilation mode is activated,
allowing a gap of between
10mm -13mm depending on
window size. All windows come
with built in anti-slam device
as standard and anti-jemmy
protection in the tilt mode.
For fabricators, time
manufacturing windows is
saved due to the new coupling
system, no longer using faceplate
connectors to secure, the
system now simply ‘clicks in’.
In addition, the hardware also
has a plastic clip on the reverse
that ‘clips in’ to the euro groove
ensuring a snug accurate fit first
time every time.
All MACO products are
covered by a 10 year product
guarantee with the PAS24
specification supported by SBD
(secured by design) accreditation
and a feature of MACO Secure
Plus, bringing numerous benefits
including homeowner guarantee
to pay back their insurance
excesses in the unlikely event of a
successful forced entry.

Fondly nicknamed ‘Bob’ by the warehouse
staff at the company, the Sfera is a battery
powered, self-guiding, mobile pallet stretch
wrapper that supports Carl F Groupco’s focus
on supplying next day full deliveries for any
orders placed before 4pm.
Commenting, Carl F Groupco Managing
Director John Crittenden said:
“It is important to stress that automation
will never replace the personal touch that is
offered by the people that we employ – our
staff are second to none, they are all dedicated
to our high service standards.
“The advantages of the Sfera include health
and safety benefits - due to the fact that the
‘battery powered, self-guiding,
mobile pallet stretch wrapper’
load stays on the floor, the wrapper is ideal for
unstable, heavy or oversized loads. Its ability
to securely hold pallets aids safe supply and
protection in transit. Additionally, it has an
environmental advantage as its strength results
in an exceptional ability to stretch the wrap
resulting in the use of 50% less wrapping
material.”
