INVESTING FOR DEMAND AND EFFICIENCY
»»FACED WITH A
continued rise in demand for
its products in the south west
of England, Swish fabricator,
Seal-Lite Group, has reached
the end of an 18-month period
of investment in the company’s
infrastructure, with customers
immediately seeing benefits.
No less than £300,000 has
been spent on a programme
that has seen every aspect of
the Clevedon, Somerset-based
company’s production facility
enjoy improvements, with new
machinery from Rotox, Elumatec
and Haffner-Murat, in addition
to tracking technology provided
by First Degree Systems. The
result is greater than 99% on
time and in full deliveries to
its customers and a marked
improvement in efficiency.
With sales now swelling to
more than £5 million, including
a rapidly growing trade sales
division of £3 million, the
latest investment is designed to
accommodate this continued
increase in sales and improve its
efficiency whilst providing ease
of management and control of
the company and its day-to-day
output.
Chris Shearn who runs the
company with brother Jim
commented: “We were already
running at very high efficiency
and quality rates but we wanted
to improve the processes as well as
grow output.”
“The Swish brand also continues
to be very effective,“ he added,
“backed with a huge range of
brochures, samples, mailers, point
of sale and even clothing that they
use for their own customers.”

Showcasing specialist fabricator credentials
»»ESTABLISHED IN 2002,
Gloucester’s Mercury Glazing has a wellestablished reputation for being one of the
industry’s most reliable specialist fabricators of
niche PVCu and aluminium products.
Mercury is perhaps best known for
manufacturing Spectus PVCu vertical sliders.
The company sees impressive year-on-year
growth for this product and sales in 2015 were
up 18% on 2014, which demonstrates how
fast Mercury’s reputation is spreading. Chris
Reeks, Mercury’s Sales and Marketing Director,
comments: “We’re delighted to have seen sales
growth for our Spectus vertical slider last
year, not least because it means we have seen
year-on-year growth every year we have been
manufacturing it.”
Mercury is one of Spectus’ largest vertical
slider fabricators and one of the few to offer
a Secured by Design option. It manufactures
‘We’ve built our name on
supplying quality products’
in a full range of colours, plus white and foil
finishes so there is something to complement
all homes.
Chris Reeks concludes: “Despite our
growing reputation and year on year growth,
we never become complacent. We’ve built our
name on supplying quality products and being
a good company to work with and we have no
intention of letting that change.”

CATHEDRAL ABSEIL FOR CHARITY
»»TRADE FABRICATORS
Warwick North West recently
served as a main sponsor for
a charity abseil at Liverpool’s
Anglican Cathedral.
The event, which sought to
raise money for the Multiple
System Atrophy Trust, saw
famous faces including Geordie
Shore star and I’m a Celebrity…
winner Vicky Pattison navigate
their way down the world’s fifth
largest cathedral sporting T-shirts
emblazoned with the Warwick
North West logo.
Multiple system atrophy is
a rare neurological condition
caused by the degeneration of
nerve cells in the brain, leading
to problems with movement,
balance, and other bodily
functions. The MSA Trust
seeks to support sufferers of the
disease, their families and carers,
while funding research in the
hope of finding the cause for and
eventually curing MSA.
“We were delighted to
sponsor the event,” commented
