TOP 1% OF CHARITY FUNDRAISERS
»»REHAU IS ONCE AGAIN THANKING
all the customers, colleagues and suppliers who
supported its ‘Redkites’ charity skydive in 2015,
because it has just been named in the top 1% of
fundraisers for last year on the www.justgiving.
com website.
The skydive generated more than £5000
for the Prostate Cancer charity, and rather
appropriately, this put REHAU in the top 5000
of the 500,000+ people who raised money via a
Just Giving fundraising page in 2015.
REHAU’s group of nine Redkites completed
a series of tandem skydives from the maximum
height allowed for civilians without oxygen
in August 2015. They received fantastic
support from across the industry with notable
donations coming from customers Climatec
Windows, Iceni Windows and Solar Windows,
industry colleagues PHAM News and Reliance
Worldwide Corporation, and suppliers
Dialogue PR, Earl & Thompson Marketing,
Switch, Windowbase and Wyatt.
REHAU’s Marketing and Technical Director,
Gareth Jones, who jumped alongside colleagues
from REHAU’s windows, underfloor heating
and cable management divisions, said: “The real
thanks must go to our customers, colleagues
and suppliers who gave us their backing and
helped us make such a fantastic donation to the
Prostate Cancer charity.”

CHANGE TO INSPECTIONS PROVIDER
»»FENSA HAS SWITCHED ITS
installations inspections to RISA Ltd from the
British Board of Agrément (BBA) from the
beginning of the year. RISA Ltd is the new
subsidiary company recently set up by the
Glass and Glazing Federation Group (GGF
Group).
RISA Ltd is a brand new company with one
of the most experienced inspections teams in
the industry. The FENSA inspection team at
the BBA is moving to RISA Ltd to continue to
provide the same excellent levels of service
and professionalism as before.
FENSA Certified Installers will benefit from
having the same inspector that they have
worked with over many years, no change in
inspection procedures or standards, but with
better controlled costs that will minimise
future increases in inspection fees over the
next few years. FENSA is also pleased to
announce that for at least the next 24 months,
all inspection costs will remain frozen.
“FENSA will be delighted to work with
this new GGF Group company,” comments
Chris Mayne, Managing Director, FENSA. “It
offers the exciting opportunity of even closer
collaboration and streamlined administration
which will deliver more efficiencies. This
should allow us to better control costs and
improve the inspection service for FENSA
Installers.”

Driving up output and efficiency
»»WALSALL-BASED PROFILE 22
fabricator, Stedek, has taken a major step
forward in the company’s quest for growth
through higher output, improved quality
control and greater efficiency by installing
a Graf Synergy cutting and machining
centre.
Stedek MD and founder, Steve Page,
commented: “To allow us to move further
into commercial markets with Profile 22, in
addition to answering growing trade sales
using both Profile 22 and Swish, we needed
a dramatic solution. That appeared to be
the Graf Synergy cutting and machining
centre.

“The Graf Synergy will produce in two days
what two people could previously produce in
a week,” said Steve, “and with superb accuracy
and efficiency. It has reduced profile wastage
by 15% too - incredible! The investment will
have tremendous benefits for our customers
and, therefore for Stedek. We are now making
more windows in a week than we were making
in a month just a year ago.
“With the backing of Profile 22 we
are growing our business in commercial
and public sectors, in which contractual
commitments and obligations call for a more
robust supply chain and again, the Graf
Synergy gives us that.”
