CHRISTMAS CHEER RAISES
£1,936 FOR LOCAL HOSPICE
Celebrations
Continue
»»HAVING PICKED UP A FLURRY
of key awards towards the end of
2015, the celebrations are likely to
continue well into the New Year for
Wellingborough based trade fabricator,
Emplas. And, as the company’s primary
supplier, it was only fitting that Profile 22’s
Wolfgang Gorner should drop in with a
bottle of cheer to help the celebrations
continue.
Emplas won the prestigious and much
coveted ‘Fabricator of the Year’ trophy at
the G15 Awards, also being listed as one
of the UK’s top manufacturing leaders by
a specialist magazine in the same month.
Emplas MD, Ryan Johnson, says they will
be enjoying the accolades for some time
to come, “We wanted the G15 trophy
badly and we are delighted to have won it.
We have made many advances within the
business and this was the perfect way to
celebrate the hard work and commitment
that these have involved for a great team
of people.
“The Manufacturer Top 100 Listing is
meaningful for the recognition of our
business as a leading manufacturer per se
and says a great deal of how the window,
door and conservatory industry is being
taken seriously these days.”

»»OVER THE YEARS PDS HAS BEEN
very involved in local charity, Springhill
Hospice. PDS has always been a big supporter
of the hospice, however, towards the end of
2015, they really got into the Christmas spirit
raising a massive £1,936.55 for the cause.
PDS joins in fundraising events for the
hospice on a regular basis and on occasion
it even hosts its own fundraising campaigns,
recently raising over £11,000 by taking part in
the Granfondo Stelvio Santini.
This Christmas’ efforts were really grasped
by the company in its entirety and a brilliant
£1,936.55 was raised through participation
in the Santa Dash and Dawdle as well as
conducting its own in-house Christmas raffle.
All funds raised were donated straight to the
hospice.
Former MD, Tim Fairley, initiated a bond
with the Hospice in 2015 by joining PDS
and Springhill Hospice as business buddies.
This is set to continue into 2016 with PDS’
Site Director, Mike Bratt, who commented:
“The excellent work conducted by the PDS
business to support the local community over
the years is a credit to each and every one of its
employees.”

HALO WELCOMES
ANOTHER FABRICATOR
»»NORTH EAST PANELS, PART OF THE
NEP Group, has made the switch over to
Halo’s high quality System10 PVCu profile.
The Tyne and Wear company is one of
around 100 to have switched systems with The
VEKA UK Group over the last 12 months.
‘another happy customer’
Jimmy Wood, National Sales Manager,
explained: “We decided to change over to
Halo products in order to adopt the System10
profile, and we’re planning to offer Rustique
too before long.
“These systems offer all the quality and
accreditations you would hope to find from
an industry-leading company. It means we are
able to offer customers a framed composite
door collection that exceeds their expectations
when it comes to style, security and energy
efficiency.
“The VEKA UK Group is well known for
handling changeovers smoothly, so we weren’t
worried about too much upheaval. Their
specialist engineers took care of everything and
we were soon up and running again, so our
sales and customer service didn’t suffer.
“It wasn’t a decision we made lightly, but
Halo had the right products, at the right
price, with a reputation for straightforward
service. We also had a successful, full fire test
at BM Trada prior to making the change
completely.”
Sales and Marketing Director of The VEKA
UK Group Colin Torley commented: “We’re
delighted to welcome another happy customer
into the VEKA UK ‘fold’.”
