For many years, the Glass and
Glazing Federation (GGF) has
supported The Glass Product
Days (GPD) in Finland.
»»For this 15th conference,
held in June, GPD will take pride in
bringing some special new features to a
reshaped Conference format in response
to past participant feedback and organiser
experiences.
This year, GPD will streamline the program
to ensure that valuable views are well heard
and registered. For this purpose, GPD bring
interactivity between participants to a new
level with instant polling of opinions.
On issuing this Welcoming Message and
Call for Papers, GPD reminds participants
of the old saying “less is more” with the
Conference offering the opportunity to voice
bold, to-the-point opinions and crystal-
clear messages that can be picked up by our
communications and networking systems.
GPD has a proven track record of securing
solid feedback from glass industry policy makers.
In staging the 15th Conference it is also clear
that GPD represents unique accumulated knowhow of how the industry has developed over
decades and is still developing.
At GPD, Tampere Finland, the Glass
industry will get together to witness the
industry’s development, power, innovation and
design.

Networking Events
»»The Glass and Glazing
Federation has agreed to sponsor all three
“People in Glazing Society”, (PIGS) events in
2015.
In the last few years, the GGF and its
Members have attended these popular
social events that offer great networking
opportunities.
People in Glazing Society was set up in 2004
for editors in the glass and glazing press to
mingle with event organisers, public relations
professionals and marketing personnel. Since
then it has grown in popularity and attendees
now regularly include manufacturers, suppliers
and installers from the sector.
James Lee, GGF Head of Marketing and
Communications commented: “The GGF has
been attending the PIGS events for a number
of years and the occasions have been excellent
for networking with media contacts, catching
up with GGF Members and networking with
potential Members. We are delighted to be one
of the sponsors this year.”
