SOLID ROOF SALES KEEP ON
GROWING!
2015 so far has brought lots of opportunity to the Guardian
solid roof market for Phil Coppell Limited.
The colder weather and the incessant rain has all helped to
increase sales. Phil Coppell Limited has been manufacturing
the Guardian Roof for the last few years and from a standing start
they have steadily and relentlessly increased their production output.
Over the last six years PCL has grown to over 100 personnel, moved
to larger premises creating greater capacity and subsequently a more
sophisticated production line. The massive in-house warehousing means
PCL now stock enough materials to manage a round-the-clock service
which is more than capable of supporting the ever increasing demand.
The Guardian™ solid roof has full LABC (in England and Wales) and
LABSS (in Scotland) type approval which means you’ll have no planning
issues to deal with. The roof has impressive thermal values, an easy installation
procedure and a choice of interior and external finishes. It is easy to see
why the Guardian™ Roof is way ahead of its rivals and really does give home
owners an extra room that they can enjoy all year round. A visit to PCL’s
factory will also give you an invaluable insight into why the Guardian solid
roof is an ideal proposition. Watch the roof being assembled and then
dismantled for delivery, all pieces are individually labelled for easy build. The
video on www.philcoppell.co.uk will also show you the process from start to finish.
There’s no substitute for experience and PCL has an excellent track record
of manufacturing within the window and conservatory industry, but when the
opportunity to produce a lightweight solid roof with all the advantages and
benefits came along – it wasn’t a matter of adding it to their business strategy,
it was more of a chance for the solid conservatory roof production to become
a central element of their long term plans.
Phil says: We’ve had some excellent feedback and it seems homeowners
love their new roof and our trade customers tell us “it does what it says on
the tin”. It’s warm in the winter - cool in the summer and great for sound proofing.
PROJECTS
Last year, PCL masterminded the restoration of the roof of the Lapwing
Lane Arcade in Didsbury, East Manchester. This iconic landmark which
is the feature of the arcade had been built in 1913. It is believed to be
the last surviving original Edwardian canopy in Manchester and was in dire
need of restoration.
Grants were given by Manchester City Council and the Heritage Lottery
Fund together with money raised by the locals.
This enabled PCL to showcase their excellent workmanship and completely
restore the wired glass roof to its former glory and PCL have recently been
shortlisted for the RICS NW Award and the results will be revealed at the
Awards ceremony on 30th April.
PCL also manufacture and supply the roofs for Bury Market via Northern
Glass, Whitefield. This is an ongoing project and creates its own challenges
as all the stalls are different shapes and sizes.
EXPANSION
PCL will be opening a new showroom in the Southern region rolling out a
range of products. More staff who have joined Phil Coppell Limited this
month include: Dave Enright – Operations Manager, Andy Ledger Graphic Designer, Ged Hunt – Sales Office Manager and Andrea
Crampton – Sales Representative.
