The Commitment Goes On
»»With 2014 marking a number of
milestones for GM Fundraising, including
funds raised breaking £1m and the 15th
anniversary of supporting Hope House
Children’s Hospices, the team took time
out recently to discuss what’s next for GM
Fundraising. As well as planning upcoming
events, it was agreed that the longstanding
commitment to Hope House should
continue.
Re-think on
Company
Structure
»»Surging growth in demand
from KAT customers has compelled a
structural re-think at the company.
Being one of the only UK based
manufacturers to supply high specification
doors and windows in all three materials,
Chris Powell, Commercial Director,
comments: “KAT has been recognised
as a market leader in PVCu patio doors
and box sash windows since 1998, but
our biggest growth is now aluminium
and timber. Due to the specialist nature
of these products we have had to re-think
how we support our customers, and have
created individual product divisions within
KAT to achieve this.”
Each of the newly created divisions have
a dedicated director and management
team. Carol Sherlock heads up the
Aluminium Division, Jonathan Sheard,
the PVCu Division and Jane Richards is
responsible for the timber operation.
KAT is the only UK based manufacturer
to produce high specification products
in all three major material systems;
aluminium, PVCu and timber. So whether
your project specification is for bi-folding
doors, in-line or lift and slide patio doors,
residential entrance doors, box sash
windows or flush casement windows,
KAT offer a bespoke ‘Life Engineered’
solution.

“As with everything,” explains Gary
Morton, founder of GM Fundraising “it
pays to take a step back once in a while
and take stock of everything that’s going
on. GM Fundraising is no different and we
wanted to ensure that what we are doing and
who we do it for is still right for everyone
involved.”
“Although Hope House has developed and
improved over the years, at the heart of the
organisation, the ethos remains
the same – to provide support
and specialist care for lifelimited children, young people
and support for their families.
It’s always been about the kids
for us, so GM Fundraising
continuing to support what
Hope House do is as important
to us today as it was 15 years
ago.”
