MEMBERS’ DAY DATE AND VENUE ANNOUNCED

Federation is pleased to announce that its
annual Members’ Day will be held on Thursday
26th September at the Hilton Olympia in
Kensington London, with a special networking
event on the evening before (25th September)
at The Museum of Brands in Notting Hill.
Though the full event programme has yet
to be finalised, Members’ Day will include
presentations on topical issues, keynote
speakers and some new exciting features. All
will be revealed in the build up to the event.

Executive added, “Every GGF Member is
invited to join us for Members’ Day 2019
and for the networking event on the evening
before. Both events are completely free for
Members and promise to be highlights in the
GGF calendar. I’d advise all Members to mark
the dates of these events in the diaries.”

helping to support a project run by student
vets at the University of Nottingham.
Vets in the Community has been providing
free veterinary care to pets belonging to
homeless and vulnerably housed people in the
Nottingham area since 2012. The project is
led by students at the university’s Vet School,
under supervision from experienced, qualified
members of staff, out of the Big Issue office in
Nottingham.
To date, Vets in the Community has
treated over 300 dogs, cats and rabbits, and
even a ferret; with health checks, vaccinations,

micro-chipping and treatment for fleas,
worms and minor ailments.
Morley Glass is one of a number of
organisations whose support has enabled the
Vets in the Community project to afford the
equipment and medicine it needs to treat
the animals it sees, as well as provide food
for owners who may be struggling with the
cost.
