ever in this industry with a positive tidal wave of great
results from The FIT Show still rolling in, so much so it
warranted a FIT Show review part 2 in this issue (page
30). Optimism abounds and it is good to see such a
rewarding pay-off for all the planning, sheer hard work
and effort that goes into such a major industry event by
the organisers, the exhibitors and everyone else. And
people managed to have a lot of fun as well!
According to new research from AMAResearch
(page 54), the UK door and window fabrication market
has turned from steady decline through several years,
to growth since 2013, with the prospects of further
growth during the next five years. The report says the
market for door and window fabricators increased by
around 3% in 2015, following good growth of 5% in
2014. A strong growth area in the past few years has
been the home extension sector where there are good
opportunities for both major players and small niche
suppliers alike.
