FIT SHOW 2016
RECORD BREAKING FOOTFALL
»»With 3,217 visitors to its stand at the FIT
Show 2016, Universal Arches set a record as
people flooded through the exhibition doors
and on to its stand. Most were attempting
to open the Union Jack emblazoned arched
composite door on stand 118 in hall 1.
Five people were lucky enough to open
the door over the course of the three days,
but at the end of the show Trevor Sturgess
of Outlook Windows Ltd was drawn out of
the hat and will receive a latest generation
iPad in the coming weeks.
With a 54% increase in traffic on the
stand, a large number of visitors had the
opportunity to experience the distinctly
‘Made in Britain’ theme, which now also
forms part of the new corporate identity for
the profile bending specialist. Supporting
this theme was a number of coloured
frames, two coloured Union Jack fully
welded and fabricated frames, a red FIT
Show heart and an iconic pivot window in
the form of a classic roundel clock, inspired
by the mods and rockers era.
With what is widely regarded as its best
exhibition stand yet, Universal Arches was
awarded with ‘Most Creative Shell Scheme
Stand’ in the FIT Show Awards 2016, a great
accolade. In addition, the stand design,
concept and management will now be used
by the Association of Exhibition Organisers
as a master class in the way in which to
make best use of a shell scheme stand.
Leon Day, managing director of Universal
Arches commented: “We had an exceptional
FIT Show and it’s great to see that the
glazing industry is back buzzing with new
products and overwhelming positivity. The
FIT Show award was a fitting finale for us
this year and for the AEO to use us as an
example is something quite special, but
just a final word of thanks to the organisers,
fellow exhibitors and the number of visitors
who really helped made this show such a
success.”
