Untold Benefits
Since purchasing Joinerysoft’s Joinery
Management Software in January
this year, joiner Andrew Miller has
noticed the unexpected benefits the
system has brought to his business.

Based in Stirling, Andrew
Miller Architectural Joinery has
been manufacturing custom built
joinery since 2000, providing
joinery for trade and domestic
customers. The majority of work
is sash and casement windows,
reproductions of existing joinery
and bespoke services including
traditional doors, screens,
architrave and skirting. The
business has grown through
personal referrals, aided by its
attention to detail and expertise
in matching existing joinery in
renovation work.
After recently moving to
larger premises, the company
experienced delays inits business
processes, one of these being
quoting. The process was time
consuming and at risk of human
error. Quotes were either being
lost or going cold, so Andrew
investigated several software
options, but could only find
one UK supplier offering local
support with expertise knowledge
of UK joinery businesses.
Andrew explains: “I thought
JMS was a good idea, but until
I saw the benefits translated into
my joinery business, I never
understood just how great an idea
it is!”
Andrew continues: “I have
loaded all my costs into the
software and can now see if I’m
making money on a job. This
visibility has enabled me to invest
in a spray shop, a venture I have
wanted to do for years.”
Andrew has also seen major

able to analyse production costs,
and as a result has introduced new
tooling to streamline production,
reduce machining times and
improving productivity.
Customer service has also been
improved with the introduction

emailed to the customer the
same day. Andrew explains: “The
software is set up and so easy to
use, I’m confident that 100% of
our quotes are now going out on
time,” he adds, “I have a better
success rate due to improved
service and speed.”
Andrew has also found that
he has more time to develop his
business since implementing the
software, focusing on the financial
information being gleaned from
JMS. He comments: “I have
confidence in the accuracy of

He adds: “Leaving out the

I can see the software paying
for itself just in the savings we
make by not making mistakes.

will have paid for itself within a
year.”
Andrew concludes: “I knew
