Glass and glazing’s next
‘must attend’ event
» » AFTER A SUCCESSFUL FIT SHOW,
the industry now turns its attention to the
next ‘must attend’ event for senior people
across all sectors of the industry - domestic,
trade, commercial, new-build and social
housing in the glass and glazing calendar.
Organised by two of the biggest names in
the industry, Purplex and Insight Data, The
Glazing Summit takes place on Thursday,
September 12 at Edgbaston Stadium and
Conference Centre, Birmingham.

Summit will be bigger and better.
After attracting 400 business leaders from
across the glass and glazing industry, not
to mention 1 million Twitter impressions,
the Glazing Summit is back. The industry
had never had a major business conference
but as the market has matured and become
more professional, a platform for CEOs and
business leaders to come together, learn and
share information has become so important.
Last year we provided a powerful forum
for fabricators, installers, glass companies,
distributors and material suppliers to come
together and discuss key industry issues and
trends. And we want to again give delegates
the inside track on what is really going on and
equip industry leaders with the knowledge and
tools to confidently plan for the future.
IT REALLY IS A MUST-
ATTEND EVENT
The glazing industry is a multi-billion-
pound industry that has more than 15,000
businesses, employs tens of thousands of
people and is an incredible industry to be a
part of - we want to keep it that way.
THE BIGGEST NAMES
The Glazing Summit was a landmark event
and broke new ground last year and, with this
year’s event promising to be bigger and better,
we’ve already had some massive names from
our sector come on board.
The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF)
is headline sponsor, while industry giant Yale
will be sponsoring the new Tech Talk stage.
Numerous other major brands have joined
a line-up of event partners to support the
conference, including Edgetech, who were
the first company to come on board, CAB,

Our VIP Leaders Dinner, which rounds
things off in the evening, is being sponsored

THE KEY ISSUES
Last year, 23 expert speakers took to
the stage to talk about a variety of key
industry topics, including the skills shortage,
innovation and technology and installer
challenges. This year will see a new impressive
line-up of key-note speakers from across
the industry, including respected industry
leaders, trailblazers and proven experts tackle
current issues head-on, including best practice,
growth, profitability and consolidation.

Discover why some companies are
struggling while others are growing fast and
get the inside track on where the industry is
going, where the opportunities are and how
to maximise growth and profitability. And
running alongside the main stage this year will
be the new Tech Talks stage.
THE PERFECT FINISH
While there is a buffet lunch and plenty
of networking opportunities with industry
leaders during the day, the event ends perfectly
with the Glazing Summit Leaders Dinner. It
brings together around 250 of the industry’s
most influential business owners, directors,
CEOs and senior managers for an exclusive
evening of fine dining, great conversation
and networking. There will be no awards or
presentations, no black tie, just an evening
with the industry’s most influential and
visionary leaders, with the evening rounding
off with an after-dinner speaker.
