In the Pink at FIT
» » THERE WAS NO MISSING THE WINDOW
Widgets stand at the FIT Show, resplendent
in pink, with corporate polo shirts to match
for the company that exhibited with typical
enthusiasm and creativity. They were also
delighted to come away with the award
for most visitor registrations, thanks to
their creative e-mail and social media
campaigns.
But Window Widgets came back again
to the FIT Show to promote a wide range
of ancillaries for the PVCu, aluminium
and composite door sectors, along with
highlighting the importance of CE Marking
on baypole jacks. It was also a typical
fun affair with goodies to give away and
personnel on stand to answer product and
technical queries.
Sarah Hitchings, sales and marketing
director of Window Widgets commented:
“We had a wonderful show with Window
Widgets with strong footfall every day
in the form of installers and fabricators.
There is a reason why we supply so many
of the biggest names in the industry and
it’s because of the trust they have in us
in terms of product design, performance
and specification. It’s also backed with
exemplary support through Adrian and
Tom.”

» » KNOWN FOR INNOVATION,
the Brisant team formed
a partnership with SALTO,
integrating Smart technology
with the Sweet handle, along
with Ultion, to create the
ultimate smart locking solution.
The team on the Brisant stand
were joined by representatives
from SALTO to help show
everyone how simple, yet
effective Ultion SMART is.
Ultion SMART enables users
to lock and unlock an entrance
door using a smartphone
or voice commands using a
smart assistant and can be
fitted quickly and easily to an
existing door, supporting any
locking system that uses a
euro cylinder.
This new generation lock
has additional features
which adapt Ultion to meet
the needs of a changing
marketplace. Additional
molybdenum and exclusive
new plug address the ever-
increasing pressure on euro
cylinders, with new door
styles and multi-point locking
systems. This strengthening
is coupled with the thicker key
shape and composition.
Always keen to provide
added extras, there is a
torch set into the new Ultion
keycap, perfect for winter
nights when the homeowner
is struggling to see their lock.
The new square letter plate
option and stainless wrapped
design was also hugely
popular.

Attracting attention at FIT
» » AS THE HOMEOWNER TREND FOR
wide expanses of glass shows no sign
of slowing, it’s no surprise that interest
in PatioMaster’s Triple-track sliding patio
door system at the FIT Show was high. As
well as homeowner benefits, the system
also offers benefits to installers. The rollers
are edge-located for easy adjustment.
There is a full range of ancillary products
including cills, add-ons and couplers, posts
and extension profiles. There is also a
mechanically jointed version for hard to
access locations.
The Triple-track is often shown as an
alternative to a bi-fold door, but it offers
36 J UL 2019
several key advantages over its rival.
There are no panes of glass encroaching
on inside or outside space when they’re
open. And when they’re closed, they offer
a greater uninterrupted view of the outside
world because the panels can be up to
1,500mm wide, much wider than on a bi-
fold.
PatioMaster is one of the UK’s leading
manufacturers of patio doors. It has a
network of authorised fabricators across
the UK and Ireland and gives installers
and homeowners the benefit of local
supply with the back-up of a national
brand.
