DEMAND RISES FOR NEMESIS

rise in demand for its Nemesis multi-point
window locking system for aluminium
profiles. The company has credited its growing
sales to the rapidly increasing popularity of
aluminium in the domestic market.
Steve Williams, sales director at Kenrick,
explains: “When it comes to windows and
doors, aluminium continues to follow an
incredible growth pattern and its predicted
to reach an all-time high of 220,000 frames
a year by 2020. This upward trend has
driven demand for Nemesis and sales have
grown tenfold since the launch, which is a
phenomenal result.
“The market is moving towards higher
value products, but the aluminium sector
has been hampered by the lack of choice
in multi-point window locking systems for
aluminium profiles. Nemesis has attracted
this wave of new customers because it brings
greater choice, but it also delivers on quality,
performance and reliability which are vital at
the higher end of the market. For a discerning
customer base, it is the ultimate, compromise-
free locking system.”
Nemesis is a high security bi-directional
twin cam espagnolette window locking
system that has been has been developed to
suit aluminium profiles which come with
or without a Euro groove. A fitter-friendly
solution, it has been designed to aid rapid
installation for the fabricator on all major
aluminium profiles. Unlike some other
systems, it is made from the finest grade
austenitic stainless steel, which has been tested
to BS EN 1670: 2007 Grade 4 (severe) rating
for salt spray corrosion resistance.
Nemesis features a robust offset handed
die-cast gearbox and bi-directional twin
cams to provide superior security. It also
incorporates stainless steel faceplate drive
bars and mushroom cams to enhance both
its appearance and durability. The mushroom
cams are available in 5mm and 7mm
heights and are adjustable to +/- 1mm to aid
compression once it has been fitted.
Keeps are currently available for all the
major aluminium systems, including Smarts
Alitherm 300, Smarts Alitherm 600, Smarts
Alitherm 800, Smarts Alitherm Heritage,
Smarts EcoFutural, Sapa Crown, Sapa
Dualframe and AluK.
Nemesis has been fully tested at Exova BM
Trada and is Secured by Design and PAS 24:
2016 accredited. It has been function tested
to 100,000 full cycles (open/close, lock/
unlock).
