CHANCELLOR AIMS FOR 650,000 NEW
HOMES WITH £500M INJECTION
» » PHILIP HAMMOND
announced further plans to
increase UK housebuilding in his
2018 Autumn Budget; following
on from his announcement
of a five-year £44bn housing
programme, the Chancellor
confirmed a £500 million
injection into the Housing
Infrastructure Fund in a bid to
unlock 650,000 new homes.
“With reports suggesting
the number of houses on the
market is at a 10-year low,
news of further funding will
certainly be welcomed both by
the housebuilding sector and by
those local councils who have the
biggest demand for new housing,”
comments Jade Greenhow,
Operations Director at Insight
Data.
“This is once again fantastic
news for the fenestration and
construction industries with this
new funding unlocking new
land and creating new, valuable
opportunities for businesses across
the industry. There’s never been a
better time to communicate with
housebuilders, main contractors
and developers and really
showcase how their business can
support any upcoming project
or development. Investing in
marketing will be absolutely key
to raise your profile and ensure
your business takes advantage of
this fresh demand.”

» » SINCE JOINING UP WITH PURPLEX,
Plan-it Windows has opened a new

months.
Gary Pennington of Plan-it Windows - one

delighted with the results since appointing

He said: “We couldn’t be happier with the
work Purplex have done for us. We had a
record sales month in September, and from
July-September we hit the same volume of
sales compared to the whole of last year – it’s
quite staggering really.”
“We have also recently opened a new
showroom on a busy main road in Bolton and
have made an investment to extend our fleet
of vans to be able to keep up with increased
demand, and been able to tap into new market
locations, such as Ramsbottom, so we are
absolutely delighted with how the company is
