NFA? NO PROBLEM
» » HAVING WON TIMBER
Alternative Company in 2017,
the team at Masterframe
Windows are delighted to
have won two top National
Fenestration awards in 2018.
The first award was top spot
along with Listers in the most
prestigious of the NFA awards,
Fabricator/Manufacturer 2018.
According to the National
Fenestration website: “This award
had the longest voting list by far.
It was also the category that we
had the most nominations in and
is the most populous part of the
industry and perhaps the most
competitive.”
Carol Slade, Sales &
Operations Director said: “It was
a very competitive category and
we were nominated alongside
23 big names in the fenestration
industry. As a relatively small
family business, who only
manufactures PVC-U sash
windows, we are extremely proud
of this achievement.
The second award received
was Best New Product for
Timberweld®, the patented
method used by Masterframe
to create perfectly sealed timber
effect corners. Carol added
“Masterframe is the only sash
window manufacturer licensed
to use this technology. We
consider it to be one of our
most important product
developments, allowing us to
manufacture authentic timber
alternative windows, complete
with perfectly sealed corners
inside and out.”

One for the ‘book’: Charity race night a success
» » THE GLAZERITE UK GROUP LTD’S
annual charity Race Evening took place on
16th November, with over 140 guests joining
the fabricator for the fun-filled event. Held at
the Wolverhampton Racecourse for the third
successive year, the evening kicked off with the
horseracing, followed by a three-course meal
and a disco, all courtesy of VEKA’s leading
trade fabricator, Glazerite.
Employees from the Wellingborough-based
firm welcomed customers and suppliers from
the length and breadth of the UK for the
annual event, which this year raised nearly
£600 for The Lewis Foundation. The charity
supplies gift packs for patients undergoing
cancer treatment in and around hospitals local
to Northamptonshire.
Michelle Wright, Glazerite’s Group
Marketing Manager, says: “We’ve been
supporting The Lewis Foundation for a while.
They’re a fantastic charity who have this year
given out a staggering 15,000 gift packs to
patients. We’re really proud to be able to
support them again with our Race Night.”
Meanwhile Glazerite’s very own Cassie
Macdonald hit a winning streak, thanks to her
equine namesake, Castle Hill Cassie, coming
first past the post.
