ADVANCED FIRE DOOR RANGE
» » TRAILBLAZING FABRICATOR
Astraseal has become the first fabricator in
England to manufacture fire doors using
FireFrame, the new, high-performance
60-minute fire door frame from Winkhaus.
FireFrame provides a superior solution
compared to its traditional hardwood and
PVCu counterparts. The new frame, which
offers stylish slim internal sightlines, will be
paired with both Astraseal’s PVCu door set
from REHAU and its composite door slab
from Distinction.
“For us, it was a no-brainer to switch to
the Winkhaus FireFrame,” comments Zac
Nedimovic, Astraseal’s Sales and Marketing
Manager. “The FireFrame is a smart, high-
performance solution which for us is easier to
fabricate and is more cost-effective, allowing us
to reduce our lead times, deliver competitive
prices and ensure the fast turnaround our
customers come to expect.”
Astraseal’s fire door range has been designed
to provide an optimal solution for both
residential and commercial applications.
Manufactured for either internal or external
use, both FD30 and FD60 products have
found success in social housing and new-build
projects as well as for fire escape routes and
connecting entrances.
In addition to outstanding fire resistance,
Astraseal’s fire door options deliver excellent
thermal efficiency and security with premium
hardware and locking systems.
VEKA customer, The Glazerite UK Group,
also announced its own partnership with
Flood Angel at this year’s FIT Show. The
Flood Angel team will be able to provide
excellent distribution through Glazerite’s
installer network and Glazerite is pleased to
add flood defence systems to its extensive
product portfolio. www.vekauk.com www.spectus.co.uk

» » SHEFFIELD’S ADM WINDOWS
has just given a stone farmhouse in Maltby,
South Yorkshire, a new lease of life by
installing 17 Spectus Flush Casement
windows and one bay window.
Aaron Fountain, Director of ADM
Windows, said: “Our customer wanted
to replace the ageing timber windows of
his farmhouse and replace them with high
quality windows that would enhance the
heritage look and offer modern day thermal
efficiency and security.”
This installation is the latest in a growing
number of projects for ADM Windows that
involve the Spectus Flush Casement. Aaron
comments: “We’ve seen a tremendous
growth in interest in the Spectus Flush
Casement window since we added it to
our portfolio. I’m not surprised, though: it
delivers what the market needs.”
The Spectus Flush Casement window’s
aesthetics reflect the looks of traditional
19th century timber casement windows
but with the added benefits of 21st
century security, thermal efficiency and low
maintenance, making it an ideal product for
heritage refurbishments.
ADM Windows is a longstanding Spectus
customer and specialises in its niche
products, including the market-leading
Vertical Slider.

» » VEKA GROUP IS PROUD TO
announce an exciting new partnership with
UK Flood Barriers, becoming the exclusive
supplier of PVCu profile for its Flood
Angel brand of flood defence windows and
doors.
The collaboration pairs two of the UK’s
industry leaders in their respective fields,
with Flood Angel one of the country’s
top manufacturers of BSI Kitemark flood
mitigation, and VEKA Group the nation’s
leading supplier of PVCu window and door
systems.
Besides Flood Angel’s domestic flood
solutions, parent company UK Flood
Barriers delivers commercial contracts and
flood prevention measures for riverside and
coastal areas. One such contract involved
building and installing retractable flood
barriers for a university hospital in New
York. The installation was put to the test
when the River Hudson broke its banks, and
the barrier withstood its forces perfectly.
