UKPAVILION Export prospects for Korniche at Fensterbau » » MADE FOR TRADE IS DELIGHTED to be taking the Korniche Aluminium Roof Lantern to Nuremberg this March and joining other companies eyeing the export market on the GGF organised UK Pavilion. MFT hopes to drum up maximum interest for the stand by continuing its crowd- stopping product build demonstrations which many will remember from the 2017 FIT Show. The demonstrations will show the European market how the innovatively engineered Korniche can be quickly installed by an amateur without the specific product experience required for many of the competing systems. The four-strong team, array of product samples and the demo roof will all be on hand to ensure maximum impact with the international crowd. Chris Wann, Business Manager at MFT, said: “The Korniche Lantern provides us with a great opportunity for export sales across Germany and Eastern Europe and to help encourage potential international partners we can provide marketing material, POS and the KwikQuote online pricing tool in any language or currency.” The daily demonstrations went down a storm at the 2017 Batimat show in Paris and MFT has been really impressed with the positivity, and subsequent enquires received from the French audience. With flat roofing projects a more common sight in Germany and the countries penchant for high quality engineering, it is anticipated that Fensterbau Frontale will be just as successful. Bradley Gaunt, Manager Director, explained: “Everyone we show the Korniche to has been blown away by the product quality and the innovative engineering visible in the lantern. Re-sellers can immediately see the potential in pushing the product and how the on-site installation efficiency, slim sightlines and class leading ‘timber’ aesthetics will appeal to their customer; the product sells itself in all languages.” Chris added: “The sales of the Korniche have over-run all expectations in 2017 and the effect of all the extra exposure has pushed sales of both our bi-fold and conservatory roof into overdrive. We have reacted with investment in new staff, premises and machinery to place us in the best possible position for servicing markets both at home and abroad in 2018.” GQA QUALIFICATIONS JOINS UK PAVILION AT FENSTERBAU 2018 QUALITY THROUGH QUALIFICATIONS GQA Qualifications, the fenestration industry’s only qualifications writing and awarding body, will once again be a part of the UK Pavilion at Fensterbau in March 2018. Under their over-arching theme of ‘Quality through Qualifications’ GQA will once again be promoting how better qualified employees can deliver better results for business, including benefits to the bottom line. Speaking for GQA Qualifications CEO Mick Clayton explained their passion for delivering better qualified employees to the industry; “We have been writing industry specific, work-place relevant qualifications for over 25 years now, and under the banner of ‘Quality through Qualifications’ we will be explaining to employers how, by having formally qualified employees in their business they can deliver better products, better services, and ultimately a better bottom line performance”. 30 » JAN 2018 » CL EARVI E W- UK . C O M “We have over 100 industry relevant qualifications, and we are delighted to be seeing an increase in the number of industry employers engaging with our 70 Approved Centres throughout the UK. Being a part of the UK Pavilion at Fensterbau gives us the ideal platform to raise our profile both at home, with other UK businesses who visit at Fensterbau, and abroad”. ‘make young people aware of our industry sooner’ CSCS CARDS During 2017 GQA‘s existing Q-card scheme became a formal partner of CSCS, becoming the sole provider of CSCS Cards to the Fenestration industry in the UK, another significant recognition of the important role GQA plays in helping to deliver quality at all levels, and a natural bolt-on to the work it does in raising and maintaining standards in the sector. BUILDING OUR SKILLS IN FENESTRATION GQA will also be promoting its newest initiative ‘Building Our Skills in Fenestration’, a campaign devised alongside industry employers to help attract new young entrants to the sector to bridge the ever-widening skills gap. “Building Our Skills in Fenestration is entirely complementary to the work we already do in trying to get a qualified workforce into the industry. This new drive is designed to make young people aware of our industry sooner, and to encourage them to the make the Fenestration industry their career of choice.” www.gqaqualifications.com
