NHIC Annual Awards - “ Inspiring and essential ”

THE NATIONAL HOME Improvement Council ( NHIC ) Annual Awards , which are in their 42nd year , recognise achievements in the home improvement sector and were presented at a special luncheon in London on 17th November .
Finalists in award categories covering a spectrum of home improvement projects and associated activities attended the prestigious event hosted by NHIC President Baroness Maddock .
NHIC ’ s principal guest , Dr Peter Bonfield FREng OBE , Chief Executive BRE , presented the awards and said , “ Attending these awards has been a real eye
opener for me , the work being carried out by members of the NHIC to raise standards and protect consumers is inspiring and essential .”
The principal awards presented were for the following categories :
Energy Efficiency in Local Communities Winner - East Ayrshire Council
Excellence in Roofing Winner and Runner-up - Monier Redland
Gas Safety in Social Housing Winner - Wakefield District Housing
Aluminium Systems for Windows , Doors and Facades Winner and Runner-up , L2i Limited
Home Improvements with Community Benefit Winner , Amicus Horizon

2016 HAS BEEN A record-breaking year for Novaseal . The Hampshire-based trade manufacturer says sales at the end of the company ’ s financial year were 11 % up on the previous year . In addition , October sales finished a staggering 37 % up on 2015 .
Managing Director , Gary Grundy , says Novaseal ’ s focus on quality products , extensive choice and customer service has fuelled the company ’ s growth . New products like the Slim 60 Lantern Roof , a Novaseal exclusive , were particular strong sellers last year .
Gary comments : “ Novaseal sales have soared in recent years thanks to our wide product range and customer-first
approach . We give customers the products they want backed up by a reliable service which includes free surveys , free deliveries and tailored customer support . Last year ’ s financial results are outstanding and I ’ d like to thank the team for all their hard work over the past 12 months .”
The company has grown quickly since its launch in 1998 to become one of the leading home improvement specialists on the South Coast . To meet growing demand Novaseal recently appointed Richard Peters as Sales Processor , and is opening a new state-of-the-art factory in early 2017 .

THE VEKA UK GROUP IS PROUD TO have become a member of The Glass and Glazing Federation ( GGF ).
The industry-leading company received its membership certificate at a recent meeting of the GGF Window and Door Group and Conservatory Association . The VEKA UK Group ’ s Mark Barsby accepted the certificate from Alan Burgess , MD of long-standing Halo customer Masterframe , and President Elect of the GGF . After collecting the award Mark commented : “ The GGF is a trusted trade body acting in the best interests of its members and consumers alike .
“ We see the GGF as an ideal platform for The VEKA UK Group to engage with Government and policy makers on all levels , whilst helping to provide early advice to our customers and to take a strategic role to help shape future legislation for the fenestration industry .
