Loyalty Breeds Success
Twenty-six staff members of Lister Trade Frames
of Stoke on Trent were presented with gifts and
certificates in acknowledgement of their long service
last November. The individuals had devoted 10, 15 and
20 years’ service to the Company delivering a staggering
combined contribution of over 335 years’ service.
»»Mark Warren, Listers’
Managing Director commented: “It’s a
fantastic feeling to have so many members
of our staff all in the same year who
thoroughly deserve recognition. Two years
ago, we had an additional 10 members
receive their 10 and 15 year awards. These
people have been with us through thick
and thin and we greatly appreciate their
efforts.”
An extra special mention went out to
Listers’ longest serving employee, Mark
Capewell who joined the company 20 years
ago as a member of its trade counter team.
In the 20 years since Mark has worked
his way through the ranks to become an
integral part of the business.
“We really appreciate all of our 120 strong
team at Listers, but it’s staggering when you
look at that figure of 335 combined years
of service from just 26 people,” exclaimed
Mark “and then when we add in the other 10
individuals from two years ago we now have
over a quarter of our staff with long service
awards.”
Listers has always been recognised as a
company people want to work for and this
was underlined earlier this year when they
won the title of “Employer of the Year” at the
Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce awards.

the Lancashire based fabricator of
Residence 9, Deceuninck, Kömmerling
and Reynaers windows and doors, was
announced as a Construction Marketing
Awards finalist.
Dekko made the shortlist in the
Best Use of Press and Public Relations
category for the launch of Räum, the new
range of premium quality aluminium and
PVCu doors. The PR campaign created
major industry awareness and generated
hundreds of leads for Dekko’s sales team.
Sales director Kurt Greatrex
commented: “We wanted to launch
Räum with a bang and decided a teaser
PR campaign would be the best solution.
Through the use of strategic PR and
press advertising we kept the industry
guessing who was behind Räum for several
months, and this built up anticipation prior
to launch. Now the Räum and Dekko
connection is out in the open, we’re
experiencing strong interest from installers.
I’m delighted the CMA judges have
recognised the success of the campaign.”
The PR campaign was masterminded
by Dekko’s marketing partners Purplex, a
full service agency that specialises in the
window and construction industry.
Purplex managing director Andrew Scott
commented: “The Purplex team are very
passionate about the work we produce
for our clients and we’re delighted Dekko
made the shortlist. The Räum launch was
very successful for Dekko and a CMA
nomination is the icing on the cake.”
Other finalists in Dekko’s category
include City Legacy Homes, Coillte Panel
Products, Hitachi Power Tools and Jack
Aluminium Systems.
