Revealing the Secrets of Success
»»The Trojan Group is one of the
industry’s major door and window hardware
manufacturing success stories throughout
a decade in which many have experienced
significant decline.
Tony Chadwick, Group Managing Director
Explains:
“Trojan’s single biggest reason for success
is that we design and manufacture products
that offer solutions to problems and include
patented features that deliver a real return on
investment, all at a competitive price.
“We operate in a global market and we need
to protect our business and our customers
from the worst fluctuations.
“We benefited from having our own ingroup manufacturing base, Trojan China. It
means that unlike the hardware companies
that outsource their products to third parties,
we emerged relatively unscathed.”
“We have also opened a purpose-built
manufacturing site in Vietnam protecting us
from developments in the Chinese market. It
means we have greater stability and control over
our costs throughout the inevitable cycles of this
developing economy compared to many other
hardware manufacturers. There is no doubt that
this is something our customers appreciate.”

Skip the Queues Register Now
»»Advanced visitor registration
for The Fabricator Installer Trade (FIT) Show
is now live on the FIT Show website at www.
fitshow.co.uk/reserve-your-tickets.
Registering early brings benefits to visitors
through regular updates that allow advanced
planning for the event. Of these perhaps the
most important will be the ability to skip past
the queues straight into the halls with a simple
swipe of a personalised badge. Only preregistered visitors will receive their entry badge
in advance.
A ‘Save the Date’ button automatically
generates a calendar entry in users’ diaries.
A further convenience will be the advanced
information about exhibitors and products
that pre-registered visitors will receive in
addition to information such as details of
the FIT for Business seminar programme
and Master Fitter Challenge. As the event
approaches helpful notes about parking and
access for example, will all serve to make a visit
to The FIT Show easier and more rewarding.
More than 170 exhibitors will occupy four
halls at The International Centre, Telford on
the 12th, 13th and 14th April 2016. With a
gap of almost two years since the last event
hundreds of new products and services are
being exhibited for the first time with many
being launched at The FIT Show
“This show really reflects the tremendous,
positive attitude that prevails in the market
amongst manufacturers currently,” explained
Paul Godwin, managing director of FIT
Events, which organises The FIT Show. “We
understand that there will be a number of brand
new window systems launched in addition to
hundreds of other new products. Most of these
will be seen for the first time anywhere.”

SHEPLEY SWITCHES TO FIVE CHAMBERS
»»Shepley has switched to
REHAU’s thermally efficient five chamber
profile for all of its fully sculptured white
windows, giving customers all the benefits
of better energy performance with no
compromise on styling.
The trade fabricator, which is one of the
largest in the UK fabricating exclusively in
REHAU, has been offering five chamber
profile on its chamfered windows for some
time and the response has been so positive that
it has now made the switch for its sculptured

(previously known as REHAU Edge) feature
five chamber technology which can boost
thermal performance by up to 16%. This is
enough to achieve a fully reinforced A rated

or an oversized outer frame.
Ian Griffiths, Shepley’s Sales Director, says:
“The energy savings which can be achieved
by switching from three
