SOLIDROOFTECHNOLOGY Bumper year for: ‘Best solid roof system’ » THE ULTRAROOF SOLID ROOF system had quite a year in 2019. In February it became the tiled roof system preferred by 8 out of 10 homeowners during independent research, in October the system won two awards at the Conservatory & Orangery awards, in November Ultraroof won the award for Customer Care Initiative at the ‘Industry Oscars’: the G Awards, and finally in December, it was declared Best Solid Roof System at the Pitched Roofing Awards. Now both Wendland installers and Ultraframe installers can access the multi- award-winning system. Wendland Head of Marketing, Andrew Parmenter, spoke to Clearview about the bumper year for the system, and what lies ahead for 2020. “We were really happy to see Ultraroof recognised for so many things in 2019 – the design and quality of the product, the huge amount of support we offer to installers fitting the roofs, and of course how it looks in real life - either when transforming old, tired conservatories into warm new extensions, or being used on new build extensions. Ultraroof really is a star in so many aspects. It’s the warmest solid roof on the market at just 0.17, and this can be improved even further to 0.13 by simply adding extra insulation. Ultraroof isn’t based on conservatory roofing technology and its 380mm box beam means that no matter what the style or shape, Ultraroof will never need a tie bar – ever. This is a really important benefit 52 » F EB 2020 » CL EARVI E W- UK . C O M to sell to homeowners as high vaulted ceilings are spoiled with tie bars on many competitor systems. The wide box beam also ensures that the eaves is always properly insulated and above it, air flows under the tiles, removing the risk of condensation which could be a problem on other systems. Ultraroof ’s immense strength is another huge selling point as it allows for spans of up to 4m without the need for any additional portal support, which can save installers around £1400 on a project. Of course, fitters were a major consideration for us when we designed the system, and Ultraroof features unique panel technology with a steel/timber i-beam and clips that form a clever batten structure - meaning that no internal or external battening is required. This offers huge time saving benefits on site, along with the handy pre-cut tiles and the fact that there is no cutting or trimming of OSB or insulation needed. While the system itself is highly advanced, we’ve also been sure to create a powerful service offer to help Wendland retailers with selling, surveying and fitting Ultraroof - in fact, the level of support available to installers for Ultraroof is unmatched in the industry and was what clinched the G19 Award win for Customer Care Initiative of the Year. From site assists for every first installation, to bespoke training courses tailored to the training needs of each fitter/company, technical support by phone, email and WhattsApp, written and video how-to guides covering every stage of the installation process, along with sales training and fantastic marketing support, no installer needs to feel alone when fitting Ultraroof. I’d invite anyone looking for a solid roof system that has it all to get in touch to let us show you what Ultraroof is all about. It has a high level of technology, good looks, fitter friendly features, all the support you could need, and the reassurance of a brand that has been established for over 25 years and is part of the highly respected Ultraframe family. It really is the solid roof that has it all – and we’re very happy that our belief in the system and the hard work of our teams has now been backed up with a raft of awards from our industry. 2019 was a great year for Ultraroof and its installers and we have even more planned for 2020.” To find out more about Ultraroof visit www. wendland.uk.com or call 01200 452345.
