A FULLY INTERACTIVE showroom has been designed and built by Carl F Groupco at its Peterborough distribution centre for its SmartSecure electronic locking and smart access control brand. The facility, which is part of an investment of over £ 100,000 in SmartSecure, showcases all access control options including fingerprint recognition, transponder, keypad, SmartTouch and SmartConnect easy.

Commissioned to demonstrate the capabilities of the FUHR multitronic 881 hardware that is at the heart of SmartSecure solutions, the comprehensive showroom features eight fully electronic doors and a demonstration area which confirms the simplicity of hardware selection and installation.

SECUREFAST PLC, HAS announced the launch of the SmartLock Proximity Access System.
The stylish new Smartlock ASL900 is a wire free, stand alone, intelligent computer-based access control system that uses MIFARE ®
RFID proximity card technology, which offers a cable free, easy to operate and secure access solution that is ideal for both small and large installations such as public buildings, hotels, schools, colleges, offices, hospitals and residential accommodation.
With 60min fire rating, the new Smartlock by Securefast incorporates centralised card programming, which utilises easy to use Windows-based software that enables individual and personalised card access to doors and areas, time and date validity and shift control, all without the need for unsightly cable installations around the building.
The Smartlock Virtual network system includes a battery powered door-mounted lock, a mains powered controller that governs the frame mounted electric locking mechanisms, lifts, barriers etc. and the Total Management software, which can include card printing and system integration.
Alternatively, the Smartlock ASL900W by Securefast is a wireless networked version, which offers all the advantages of the standalone system, but with the benefit of wireless networking including features such as instant card cancelling, real-time logging and fault reporting.

HARDWARE SPECIALIST, CALDWELL UK, is continuing its strong business momentum in 2016, reporting growth across the business in its most recent accounts.
Caldwell’ s turnover is up 5 % on their last year of trading. Director, David Walker, says this is a result of significant investment in the business over the past 12 months, which has seen Caldwell take on eight new staff, launch seven new products and win several new accounts.
David comments:“ In between launching new innovations to the UK market, attending trade shows around the world and strengthening the Caldwell sales team, it feels like we haven’ t stopped this year.
“ We have brought on several new accounts but our growth has also increased in tandem with some of our existing key customers.
“ Our commitment to innovation has also seen us shortlisted for the G-Awards and is another step on our journey to become the world’ s number one total hardware supplier.”
This year, Caldwell launched a record seven new products. These include the Sinidex parallel hinge, a new hardware range for VS windows, a bi-fold hinge, next generation spring balances for VS windows and a never before seen innovation in the UK market – the FoldUp window.
