PROUD SPONSOR OF DOORS & WINDOWS
DOORS&WINDOWS
ORDER STYLE STEP-BY-STEP
» ODL EUROPE HAS JUST LAUNCHED
their new online door portal. The new
online ordering system has been designed to
add value to a customer’s business. Suzanne
Nicholl, Business Development Manager at
ODL Europe, comments: “When developing
our new door portal, we kept the needs of our
customers at the forefront of our mind. We
encourage our customers to give us feedback
so we can ensure the new door portal delivers
at every stage of the process. It’s only by
listening to customers that we can continue to
exceed their expectations.”
Customers of ODL Europe have a secure
login and an easy step by step process when
placing their order; selecting the door type,
frame shape, style and colour before adding
the dimensions and additional specification,
including hardware options. Each door order
comes complete with the price and sections
and there are options to review and modify
orders before placing them so the customer
can double check the details before submitting
them. The confirmed order is sent direct to
ODL Europe’s inhouse door prepping facility
at their Bootle manufacturing plant before
being completed, quality controlled and
dispatched.

Smart tech the
next big thing
» MORE THAN 75% OF
attendees at this year’s Glazing
Summit think that smart doors
and windows will be the next big
thing.
A poll conducted at this
year’s one-day conference
at Edgbaston Stadium and
Conference Centre posed the
question ‘Is smart windows
and doors all hype? Or is it the
next big thing?’ and only 24%
thought it was all hype.
Event organisers Purplex
Marketing and Insight Data
used Slido, the online Q&A and
polling app, to conduct several
polls throughout the day which
attendees were able to take
through a smartphone app.
“Smart tech is very much here
to stay and it’s clear that those in
attendance at this year’s Glazing
Summit agree,” commented
Andrew Scott, Glazing Summit
founder and CEO of Purplex and
Insight Data.
“Our panel of experts provided
a really good discussion on smart
tech – how it will evolve to become
much more than just a gadget and
how it will ultimately be driven by
what the consumer demands. There
are interesting times ahead.”
