#ComeAlong Gary
» GARY TAMBURRO HAS JOINED
profine UK and the KÖMMERLING
brand as area manager for the South East,
as the company looks to further enhance its
reputation as the current rising stars of the
PVCu systems sector.
After an award-winning marketing
campaign that’s encouraged fabricators,
installers and business partners to
#ComeAlong, Gary’s appointment will allow
KÖMMERLING to build its presence further
in the South East, with a forthcoming installer
campaign that will help drive further organic
growth.
This appointment has also allowed the
company to re-structure its sales territories, so
that there’s now a dedicated national resource
to support the growth in the commercial
sector in the form of Leigh Cooper, who
already has a number of years’ experience with
architects and building specifiers.
Gary brings with him considerable
experience in the glass market having
started work in the sector at the age of just
sixteen, making IGU’s on a factory floor
before moving on to Pilkington Glass and
more recently to Glassolutions, as area sales
manager.

Lucie Miller Makes Apeerance in South Sales
» BALLYMENA-BASED APEER
has brought fresh expertise into
the fold with Lucie Miller recently
appointed as Southern Regional
Sales Manager. Responsible for the
Kent to Dorset south coast quarter,
Lucie joins as the company looks to
further promote its comprehensive
Apeer door and Lumi window
ranges across the region.
Lucie’s move comes partly
following redundancy from a three-
year stint at Truedor, but more
importantly for her new employer,
under healthy recommendation
‘I really like the
products, and
the companies
can do attitude’
from a customer. Lucie’s infectious,
down to earth personality
epitomises the concept that people
buy from people, something she
prides her personal success on.
As a stalwart of sales, Lucie’s
previous experience sits within
glazing, high end kitchen supplies
and lighting. Already impressed
at the attention to detail proffered
to Apeer’s quality control systems,
Lucie talked further about what
she hopes to achieve in the
coming months:
“I really like the products, and
the company’s ‘can do’ attitude,”
Lucie explained. “I’m good at
selling, and for me, maintaining
relationships to keep those sales
up is one of the most enjoyable
elements of the job.”

A FOND ‘HALO’ FOR OLD FRIENDS
» JOHN FREDERICKS PLASTICS LTD
is delighted to welcome Mark Dicconson
back as MD and Shareholder. Since Mark’s
return to the firm in January, JFPL has
taken the decision to return to the exclusive
manufacture of Halo PVCu systems, which
- along with a number of other changes -
has led 30 former customers to return to the
business.
Mark was Sales and Marketing Director/
Owner at John Fredericks Plastics from
1991-1998 and then took on the role of
Managing Director/Owner for the six years
after. Following a number of years out of
the industry, Mark was excited to return
to the company he spent so many years
being a part of, and he’s looking forward
to helping steer a successful course for the
years ahead.
He explains: “In my early years at JFPL,
the company worked closely with Halo in
developing new profile systems and so we
have real insight into the level of quality
they offer. I’m very confident that it is the
right move to supply a single brand. In just
eight months, we’ve already seen significant,
measurable results, including the return of
at least 30 valued customers.”
