21st Century
and Beyond
New Staffordshire trade
centre, 21st Century
Affordable, has just
opened up a new
showroom that boasts
five different Solidor
composite doors, in
an environment that’s
aimed at both the trade
and local homeowner.
When top installer Premier Windows needed a
brand-new website to stand out as the high-quality
choice when it comes to windows, doors and glazed
extensions, it knew who to turn to; Purplex.
» » THE LEADING FULL-SERVICE
marketing agency in the construction industry
has a reputation for building websites that get
companies noticed.
And it didn’t take long for Premier
Window’s new website to get some attention
once it had gone live, just a couple of hours
in fact…
Nathan Moore, Managing Director of
Premier Windows, said: “We wanted a website
that reflects our no-pressure sales approach
and the high-quality products and professional
service we provide, and the new site captures
all this perfectly. A new customer called us
within two hours of the website going live,
said they had been looking for an installer in
the local area and ours was the best website
they had been on, and that’s why they got in
touch. It was amazing.”
The Weymouth-based company was
established in 2011 and offers a broad
range of top-quality uPVC, aluminium and
composite products across Weymouth and the
neighbouring areas.

Windows, 21st Century can also supply
Solidor composite doors elsewhere in the
Midlands and beyond, while the offering
of the showroom to local homeowners
allows the company to pass on any
enquiries directly to a list of trusted local
installers. In addition to the offering of the
industry’s most respected composite door
brands, the new trade centre can also offer
complementing PVCu window frames from
KÖMMERLING, thereby acting as a single
source, with all of the other consumables
and ancillaries you’d expect from a trade
counter.
Jason Wootton, director and general
manager of 21st Century Affordable
in Stafford commented: “The ability to
showcase a strong composite door brand
is a must for any trade counter and we’re
blessed with the opportunity as a Solidor
trade partner. There’s already been strong
interest from local fitters and installation
teams, while we’re also encouraging
homeowners to see the product in a
modern-day showroom environment.”

BARNSLEY BUSINESS LEADS THE
WAY FOR HEALTHY WORKPLACES
» » DISTINCTION DOORS SHOWED IT
truly understands the benefits that a healthy
workplace brings when the South Yorkshire
based company was announced as finalists
in Barnsley Council’s inaugural Healthy
Workplace Awards for the category of Best
Health and Wellbeing Intervention/Initiative
Award.
Statistically, ill health of employees leads to
loss of production, higher staff turnover and
absenteeism. Reducing staff absences by just
one day per year can save thousands while
contributing to a more effective, satisfied
workforce. In the case of Distinction Doors,
the formation of a five-person Health and
Wellbeing Team almost two years ago proved
a worthy enough reason to be shortlisted,
and, given the forward-thinking attitude of
Distinction Doors, staff member Paul Hewkin
was also crowned the winner in the Health
Champion category.
Since 2017 Paul has committed himself
to improving the health and wellbeing of his
colleagues. He explained: “When the Health
and Wellbeing Team first started introducing
ideas many thought it wouldn’t last and
some didn’t take it very seriously. But the
management team have been behind us the
whole way and now everybody, whatever their
shift pattern, is involved.
