TOUR RENDEZVOUS IN FRANCE

rounded off the summer with a trip across
the Channel to VEKA France in Thonon-les-
Bains.
VEKA France MD Jos Lenferink played
host to 42 guests for the three-day event,
including Independent Network members,
VEKA Group staff and VEKA MD Dave
Jones.
Delegates from member companies
arrived on the Thursday afternoon and were
welcomed by the team. The first full day began
with a factory and showroom tour led by Jos
Lenferink and a presentation of the French
Installer programme ‘Le Fenetrier Nicois’.
Later, VEKA Group’s Marketing Director
Dawn Brickwood gave an overview of the
evolution of Network VEKA into Independent
Network which was well received by attendees.
Lunch was served lakeside at Thonon,
followed by an afternoon of networking
between the UK guests and French hosts and
evening saw members enjoying dinner and a
night at the Casino in Evian.

Dumfriesshire. He has joined
the industry’s favourite software
specialist as a programmer.
With demand increasing all

Matthew is highly qualified
for his new role, with a degree in
computer games technology from
the University of Abertay and
extensive experience in developing
apps. Just as importantly, he
shares Business Micros’ ethics
and values, having taken part in
a range of voluntary work with
St Andrews First Aid, the Apex
U-Turn Project and as a member
of the CSV Youth Board.
Matthew’s appointment
comes just weeks after Business
Micros announced four further
appointments at its Newton Le
Willows sales and installation
office, and reflect the company’s
determination to continually
shape its team in response to
customer needs.
