RACEGOERS RAISE
CANCER GIFT CASH
» » CUSTOMERS HAVE
applauded Glazerite for another
spectacular Race Day where
racegoers helped to raise over
£550 for a charity devoted
to giving gift bags to cancer
patients.
More than 150 guests attended
the event at Wolverhampton
Racecourse, which included a
three-course dinner and evening
entertainment, with some
travelling from as far away as
Aberdeen and the Isle of Man.
“We have a fair trek to get
to the Glazerite Race Day but
it has always been worth it,”
said Andy Cadman, Trade Sales
Director for Thistle Windows,
“It’s a fantastic evening for us all
and a great deal of money was
raised for a worthy charity.”
There were both losses and
wins on the horses, with Shane
Howells, owner of Shane
Howells Ltd. He commented:
“. The win made it extra special
and we can’t wait to see what
Glazerite have in store for us next
year”.
The biggest handover of the
evening, however, was £552 to
The Lewis Foundation, a charity
who organise weekend visits to
Northamptonshire hospitals to
give cancer patients a choice of
gift bags to brighten their stay.

Latest industry financial performance revealed
» » INSIGHT DATA HAS RECENTLY
compared the financial performance of
fabricators and installers as part of a new
Industry Report, following research conducted
with over 15,000 window, door and
conservatory companies.
The report reveals a significant divide
between supply-only fabricators, fabricators that
install, and installers who don’t manufacture.
Insight Data analysed the financial results
of limited companies and LLPs. As small and
medium companies don’t need to publish
turnover or full accounts, Insight measured ‘net
worth’ taken from their latest published accounts
and calculated industry average benchmarks.
12 » DEC 2017 » CL EARVI E W- UK . C O M
Fabricators who ‘supply only’ performed
the best over the last 3 years with an average
net worth up some 80% from £280,220 to
£505,047. Fabricators who install improved
from £219,093 to £265,228 - a rise of 21%,
while installers who buy-in strengthened their
financial position by 9%, from £49,651 to
£54,280.
It must be noted that companies post their
published accounts in arrears and the clear
majority of accounts relate to a 2016 financial
year end.
