from an old mill complex in
Queensbury and a factory unit in
Brighouse. Whiterose fabricates
a complete range of bespoke
products including windows, bifolding doors, sliding patios, and
commercial doors, using Smarts
Architectural Aluminium or
energy rated, quality Liniar PVCu
Profile.
Tony Smith, Owner and
Director of White Rose Windows,
explains, “Bi-folding doors are
the mainstay of our business, but
our customers also appreciate
that they can order matching
windows, sliding patios etc. for
their projects all from the one
supplier.”
He continues, “The trend
for aluminium has built real
momentum over the last few years
and when we initially considered
expanding our range to include
aluminium, we took time
choosing a system which best
suited our customer’s needs. The
Smarts system came out on top
for being an industry recognised
quality, affordable system.
“Hopefully, by increasing our
facilities and employing more staff,
we will be able to improve our
current lead time of 3 to 4 weeks
on standard coloured products.
“As a business, we operate to
economies of scale rather than
relying on big margins.” Tony
concludes by saying, “This allows
us to offer our products at very
competitive prices, for example we
have fixed prices for our bi-fold
sets, regardless of configuration.”
With the ever-popular
increasing demand for coloured
frames, aluminium provides
unlimited scope, due to the
powder coating process. This
makes it an ideal product for

for something a bit different
and has probably contributed
to aluminium’s increasing
popularity.
Whiterose has seen a growing
trend for New England colours
and one recent installation
completed in Beverley by
Whiterose for a chain of bistro
bars, used aluminium bi-folds in
an Olive Green to great effect,
along with matching windows,
doors and trims. Whiterose also
offers a specialist range developed
by Smarts called Sensations, which
has a textured finish.
Whiterose originally began by
selling to local tradesmen and
it has maintained its personal
and direct approach to customer
service, should any issue arise they
try their best to make sure it is
resolved quickly and efficiently. As
the company, has grown, the team
has made a real effort to maintain
this local trade supplier approach,
just on a much bigger scale, with
the motto being, ‘Big enough to
cope, small enough to Care’.
The company delivers
nationwide, as far and Scotland
and Devon, in fact, in November
last year, they opened a trade
centre showroom in Balham South
West London, so that customers
in the South can see the products
before the buy.
The latest project for the
company, however, is a revamp
of its website, which is set to go
live early in the New Year. The
new website is being brought
up-to-date and has a more
contemporary feel, suitable to the
modern products it manufactures,
along with a gallery of installation
pictures so that customers can get
a good idea of what the products
look like in situ.
