Gasket Case

window repair at hand can sometimes be a
tricky job. This is where the experience and

One such product that can often cause
confusion is the window gasket. Window
gaskets come in many different varieties and
are used to help cut out drafts from windows
and doors and to hold the glass in place
securely within the frame. Over time, the seals
and gaskets deteriorate and shrink leading to
cold spots and drafts, this can to resolve by
replacing them. The Flexi Repair gasket system has been
designed a range of three Flipper gaskets and
three Wedge gaskets. The Windowparts range
of gaskets come in prepacked 10 metre rolls;
they come in universal sizes so less product
range is required to be kept in stock, just
three sizes of our flipper and wedge systems
will fit 99% of windows and doors.
Windowparts has a new wedge gasket;
each of the three sizes of repair wedge
gasket replaces multiple sizes of traditional
wedge gasket, saving on space and stock
kept.
TYPES OF GASKET
Flipper Gasket is a profile that creates an
air tight seal in window edges, used between
the frames and moving sash frames and is used
for draft proofing.
Bubble Gasket is used on opening
windows and creates a pressure seal when the
window is closed.
E-Gasket is used as a compression gasket
system for glazing applications.
Wedge Gasket is used as a compression
system on windows, helps to keep the glass
units secure within the fixed window frame.
THE PROBLEM
The major problem with any of the gaskets
for repairs is the variety of the different styles
that have been used in all the different type of
uPVC doors and windows. For draft proofing
flipper gaskets, bubble gaskets and qlon are
common.

The new and improved flipper gasket that
covers gaps up to 7.3mm and compresses
down to 2mm, this flipper gasket can also
replace traditional bubble gasket due to
its unique design. It follows the contour
windows so can even be used on bowed
windows. When the wind is blowing the
gasket will lift up to stop any drafts entering
the gaps.
