ALUMINIUMEXTRA #COMEALONG CAMPAIGN AWARDED BY FIT » » WITH COMPANIES ACROSS THE fenestration and glazing industries all ploughing considerable monies in pre-show marketing, KÖMMERLING’s #ComeAlong campaign achieved Best Creative at the FIT 2019 Gala Dinner; harnessing PR, advertising, video, social media and through on-site promotions. The #ComeAlong campaign fully reflected the strong product and marketing proposition and invited fabricators and installers to join in the shared business opportunities that were being presented on the stand. This was also an opportunity that was grasped over the three days to promote a new range of marketing materials, new Partnership Programme and an extensive range of world class window and door systems, including the new KÖMMERLING 76 flush sash. Gareth Jones, managing director of profine UK and the KÖMMERLING brand commented: “Before we got to the show the interest and response from the #ComeAlong campaign was quite overwhelming and we secured new business before and during the show. The KÖMMERLING of today and tomorrow is very much a different beast to that of the past and we’re genuinely excited about our future prospects as are our customers.” www.kommerling.co.uk 170 TONNE STATE-OF-THE-ART ALUMINIUM EXTRUSION PRESS » » GARNALEX (GARNER ALUMINIUM Extrusions Ltd) has recently taken delivery of a state-of-the-art aluminium extrusion press, weighing over 170 tonnes. The press is so big it needed a special vehicle in convoy and a police escort from the port of Hull on an agreed route, and a team of technicians from its German manufacturer to assemble in the factory. Garnalex will start extruding later this year, supplying trade extrusions to aluminium companies, and then launch its own innovative aluminium window system at the end of Q1 2020. Roger Hartshorn, Garnalex CEO comments: “This investment is only the start of our story. Unlike PVC-U and timber windows, which have transformed themselves over the past 30 years or so, aluminium windows are pretty much as they were in the 1980s. From the point of view of fabricators and installers, it’s almost as if time has been standing still. But I’ve fallen for aluminium and its huge potential and have built the best window design team in the industry, and we’re building on all the innovations and improvements that should have taken place over the last 30 years.” ‘This investment is only the start of our story’ www.garnalex.com Growth in aluminium sector reflected in machinery sales » » HAFFNER MURAT IS THE UK’S official agent for the Italian range of ITALMAC aluminium fabrication machinery.
