SYSTEMS SALES ‘STORMING AHEAD’
» » DECEUNINCK’S SALES ARE
storming ahead in 2019. The leading PVC-U
systems company reports year-to-date sales up
over 20% on 2018, itself a record year. The
latest OTIF (On Time In Full) figures also
show near-perfect deliveries with a score of
98.6%.
Managing Director Rob McGlennon says
commercial, colour and the Heritage Collection
are fuelling Deceuninck’s growth: “We’re up
more than 20% year-to-date. Deceuninck
fabricators are doing very well and it’s down
to our service and products. Commercial sales
are flying with Linktrusion™ technology and
customers are setting themselves apart with
colour and the Heritage Collection including
our new Heritage Flush Door.
“Last year was a record-breaker and 2019
is shaping up to be even better. By the end of
this year, we will increase our always-from-
stock colourways to 30, and have an additional
20 colours on a significantly faster turnaround
time than all of our competitors. We’ve
also committed an extra million pounds of
additional stock and raw materials to minimise
the potential impact of Brexit. All this is part
of our ongoing investment in a profitable
future for Deceuninck fabricators.”

Floating the idea of integral blinds
» » PANORAMIC GROUP HAS
launched its new Floating Integral Blind
system, a highly innovative new product that
allows users to manoeuvre the blinds from both
the top and the bottom of the unit, providing a
much more precise level of adjustment than any
other offering on the market, at a much lower
price point and with super-fast lead times.
Unique to the Panoramic Group, the new
manually-operated floating integral blinds
may well be a more cost-effective option than
other integral blind systems on the market,
but that is not at the expense of quality. In
fact, Panoramic is producing them with warm
edge spacer and Planitherm 4S Glass, which
combines market leading solar control and
thermal insulating properties to reflect 56% of
unwanted heat in summer months and ensure
63% less heat loss compared to ordinary
double glazing.
Panoramic Group integral Floating Blinds
will be bespoke and made to order, initially in
white or grey, ranging in size from 150mm x
250mm to 1,000mm x 1,950mm with larger
options becoming available in the coming
months.

Art Deco building reimagined
as artists’ residence
‘In total we installed
221 windows, some
of which had specially
shaped topped frames’
50 » AUG 2019 » CL EARVI E W- UK . C O M
» » AN ICONIC BUILDING IN THE
centre of Sheffield has undergone a makeover
thanks to Bowen Joinery Ltd and The Glazerite
UK Group Ltd. Exchange Place Studios is
a stunning Art Deco building. Home to 60
studio spaces over six floors, the building
is residence to over 80 artists and has been
regenerated as part of plans to improve the
Castlegate area of the city.
Local firm, Bowen Joinery Ltd, was
appointed to take on the renovation, while
VEKA fabricator Glazerite supplied the
profile system. Mark Bowen says: “In total,
we installed 221 windows, some of which had
specially shaped topped frames. We used the
VEKA M70 profile system of Tilt and Turn
windows in Flat Grey, with integrated MACO
concealed gearing and Fab&Fix handles. We
had to carry out work to encapsulate the panels
below which were asbestos board, then fit the
windows ensuring we didn’t go anywhere near
the asbestos. This meant adapting the screen
walling system from VEKA so we could still use
the capping, but on a timber frame behind.”
