» » AFTER A SUCCESSFUL FIT SHOW,
Edgetech is now gearing up for the next big
date in the glass and glazing calendar – the
2019 Glazing Summit. The world’s leading
warm-edge spacer manufacturer was the first
big-name sponsor to come on board for the
event; taking place on Thursday, September
12th at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference
Centre, Birmingham.
Edgetech’s company director Chris Alderson
explained: “We believe everyone in the
industry has got a responsibility to help drive
it forward as a whole and are delighted to be
supporting this valuable event. There is always
a need to bring the sector together to discuss
‘delighted to be supporting
this valuable event’
the big issues that could shape the future of
the industry for years to come.”
The day will also be packed with industry
insight, advice and discussion on the latest
industry trends thanks to key-note speakers across
two stages. Alongside the main stage this year
will be the new Technical Stage. Last year Chris

sponsoring the new Technical Stage at this
year’s Glazing Summit.

Window Solutions, was one of four industry
leaders who took part in a discussion on
innovation and technology.
“We found the Glazing Summit very
valuable and it was great to take part in one
of the discussions last year,” said Paul. “The
Technical Stage will be very interesting and a
great new addition, and we are excited to be
sponsoring it.”

19 MILLION BRITONS TUNE IN TO FENSA
» » FENSA, THE LARGEST
government-authorised Building
Regulation compliance scheme
for the installation of replacement
windows and doors in England
and Wales, has released statistics
on the performance of its first-
ever TV campaign.
According to analysis, the
campaign has been seen by
one third of all Britons in its
catchment area since March,
almost 19 million people, with
each person seeing the ad an
average of three times. By the end
of the campaign, this December,
the ads will have been seen more
than 190 million times.
Further analysis has confirmed
that from January this year there
have been more than 675,000
‘Find a FENSA Approved Installer’
searches through the website,
together with 412,000 searches
about FENSA certificates.
Chris Beedel, FENSA
Director of Membership, says:
“We’re seeing record numbers
of homeowner enquiries on the
FENSA website, and the demand
to work with FENSA Approved
Installers is increasing by the day.
The huge number of installer
searches we’re seeing on the
website confirms homeowners
understand the value of a FENSA
certificate and the competency of
FENSA Approved Installers.”
