FORCE 8 HAS ANNOUNCED THAT its composite stable doors are now available in a huge choice of 210 RAL colours. Typically suited to more traditional style properties, the stable door is a versatile choice for a back door as it allows for plenty of ventilation and light in the home while keeping children and pets safe indoors, or a perfect vantage point for parents if children are playing outside.
Managing Director Dennis Sumner explained:“ We were one of the first companies in the UK to manufacture composite stable doors and since we launched them sales have consistently grown. We are now able to offer
210 RAL colours; meaning that there is something to suit every style of home, plus we can offer the frames in any colour, allowing them to complement or contrast with the door.”
Good looks are not the only consideration with these doors though and Force 8 has ensured that security is of top priority, employing the use of the AV2 Winkhaus or the BSI tested Yale thumbturn locks. SFS Intec hinges have been selected by Force 8 as they are fully adjustable, making them a fitter’ s friend. A low threshold stormguard is also available for disabled access. www. force8. uk

LIGHTWEIGHT SYSTEM = HEAVYWEIGHT PARTNERSHIP

THE SYSTEM THAT TICKS ALL THE BOXES

»»“ FROM THE AESTHETICS to the versatility to the thermal efficiency to the security, Optima from Profile 22, an Epwin Window Systems brand, ticks all the boxes. It’ s why the system is attracting so many plaudits, it’ s increasingly the commercial sector’ s preferred choice and is popular in both the trade and retail markets too,” says Gerald Allen, Marketing Manager at Epwin Window Systems.
Optima isn’ t just one system, it’ s three, opening up a world of opportunities. The sculptured system offers clean, modern and attractive styling, the chamfered system conveys its simple, angular lines, and the flush casement delivers the featurerich qualities that today’ s market demands. While each option is very different, all share a slimframed aesthetic that increases sightlines and solar gain.
The versatility is enhanced with Optima’ s ancillaries range, a colour range which includes 28 shades to appeal to every taste, outstanding thermal efficiency( an Optima double glazed unit can achieve an A + rating and a U-value of 1.2 W / m2K and with triple-glazing, U-values as low as 0.8 W / m2K are available), the widest range of glazing options on the market, ranging from 24-44mm, plus triple glazing in three sizes, and exceptional security features.

SOUTH COAST TRADE fabricator Window Warehouse added the LEKA Warm Roof and LEKA Orangery Roof to its portfolio in January 2017. Eighteen months on, the relationship has gone from strength to strength.
Malcom Cake, Managing Director of Window Warehouse, said:“ We chose LEKA Systems because the products offered something different. They have a lower U value so outperform other roofing options. There was a unique selling point because there was no use of timber or aluminium unlike other systems. They’ ve more than lived up to their expectations.”
The products have proved extremely popular with Window Warehouse installers and over 50 have taken the training and become LEKAcertified installers. Feedback has been very positive: installers rate the ease of installation and the quality of the initial
training session. They also appreciate the lightweight system because it’ s great for retro-fit projects while the tile finish options mean it can match in with many different property styles.
Malcolm has been so impressed with the LEKA portfolio and its opportunities for sales that Window Warehouse has developed a retail-focused website devoted to the products. Malcolm commented:“ The website has been designed to generate enquiries to pass on to our approved installers.”
