Develops Flood Door
Frame Revival
»»Whiteline,the Sussex
based fabricator is continuing to build its
reputation for innovation and exclusive
windows and doors.
The inventor of the original FlushSASH,
the 70mm PVCu alternative to traditional
timber joinery, Whiteline has also
introduced a unique, mechanically jointed
deep bottom rail option to provide ever
more authentic detailing.
The innovative range for homes that
requires a deeper frame, but with timberlike good looks, is the appropriately named
Revival. The 85mm depth frame perfectly
accommodates FlushSASH windows with
stylish hardware options to revive a home,
both inside and out.
The distinctive deep Revival cill,
specifically designed to fit the Revival frame,
marks another major Whiteline investment
in uniqueness and quality of design.
Whiteline customers can exclusively
offer a distinctive external feature that
really stands out from the crowd. Instead
of a standard dropped nose cill, the 163mm
deep, 50mm thick, multi-chambered Revival
cill, with its full length throat drip detail,
creates a unique and effective feature.
The cill can be personalised in a range of
foils, like Irish Oak or coated to match any
colour specification.

»»Ark Flood Defence Network
has developed an innovative flood door system
which has achieved the essential ‘Zero’ leakage
score in the PAS1188:1 2014 test for flood
defence products using REHAU TOTAL70
outer frame profile.
The Ark Flood Defence door uses a high
specification multi-point locking mechanism
which creates a tight compression seal between
the door sash and the frame, making it more
watertight than a standard door – even
when faced with water at a height of up to
600mm.
The door is available in a wide range of
designs and colours, with a choice of different
panel and glazing options. It has the look of
a conventional panel door but with the added
security of flood protection.
Phil Woodhead, a Director at Ark Flood
Defence said: “As we have seen in recent
years, flooding is a year round risk in the
UK now. Homeowners who fear that their
properties are at risk are looking for solutions
which can give them protection and peace of
mind.
“Our new flood doors in a REHAU outer
frame offer the security and reassurance they
require and, as a result, present a really great
new sales opportunity for trade installers.”
Ark Flood Defence supplies trade and
commercial customers and offers trade
customers the opportunity to become
Network Partners.
