Celebration
for Family run
Businesses
»»Oldham’s family-run pairing
of Network VEKA installer and fabricator
companies, AWC Home Improvements and
Gemini UPVC are celebrating a milestone
anniversary and success at a notable local
business awards in summer 2015.
Gemini – whose MD, Paul Griffiths
is brother to AWC Director, Michael –
marked 30 years. A long-standing member
of industry-leading installer organisation,
Network VEKA, Gemini manufactures a
wide range of windows, composite doors,
conservatories and roofline products.
Paul commented: “The family tie
between Gemini and AWC strengthens
both businesses. Neither party wants to
let the other down, as a lost client for one
reflects badly on the other. There’s pride in
everything we do – it’s no wonder we fit so
perfectly into an organisation like Network
VEKA!”
AWC Home Improvements – established in
1978 by the brothers’ father, Robert Griffiths
– was named Retailer of the Year at May’s
Oldham Business Awards in a prizegiving
ceremony hosted by comic impressionist, John
Culshaw.
“We’re thrilled to have received this
accolade”, Michael comments. “We’re
confident in the service we offer and, as our
Network VEKA customer satisfaction ratings
testify, that confidence is borne out by our
clients.”
