PROUD SPONSOR OF DOORS & WINDOWS
DOORS&WINDOWS
Growth leads to £700,000 logistics investment
» » CAMDEN’S CONTINUED GROWTH
has led to investment in its logistic
department, with the £700,000 purchase of
seven new Volvo lorries. The new additions
to the fleet allow for greater loads to be
carried as they have extra horsepower, whilst
maintaining their eco-friendly credentials
with twin fuel tanks, side skirts and roof
deflectors.
This recent commitment brings the
Camden Group’s fleet up to 20 lorries, with
plans to invest more over in the future.
However high spec lorries are not solely
about saving money, they also are good for
Camden’s team of drivers.
Seamus Lavery, spokesperson at Camden
said: “This is a significant expenditure for
Camden, but it makes good economic
sense. We expect a good return on
investment through the savings we will be
able to make on fuel costs, as the new lorries
are fitted with a ‘long haul fuel package’.”
The new Volvo vehicles are now on
the road delivering windows and doors
around the UK and are also bringing back
old window frames to Camden’s on-site
recycling plant, ready to be made into new
products. More vehicles will be added to the
growing fleet as the company continues to
expand.

EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS EVERY MONTH
» » AS A LEADING EUROPEAN
manufacturer of high-quality PVC resins,
Vynova came first in the ‘Raw Materials’
category, as well as being named overall winner
in VEKA Group’s fourth annual Supplier of
the Year awards.
VEKA Group uses only the highest quality
raw materials and components for its industry-
leading PVC-U profile systems, and the
company is proud to celebrate the suppliers
that go above and beyond in both product and
service.
VEKA Group’s Purchasing Manager Nicola
Woods said: “The selection process to become
a VEKA Group supplier is rigorous, and
then these carefully chosen partners undergo
continuous, stringent monitoring to ensure
our standards are upheld.
“Key suppliers are provided with a monthly
‘vendor rating report’ which outlines how
we have judged their performance. They are
graded on quantitative data such as number
of non-conformances and ‘on time in full’
deliveries, but also on qualitative data such
as customer service, flexibility and timely
responses to queries.
“This means we can closely monitor our
supply chain, and continue to provide the best
possible customer experience. Suppliers must
meet or exceed our expectations each month
in order to remain on our approved list.”

Crystal, and a wide range of
colours and finishes.
Quite a few visitors bring
architects drawings with them;
on the hunt for great design and
technical features with high levels
of security, which would provide
them with a grand entrance. Very
few consumers are put off by a
£5-8k price tag and many expect
the S-500 Series doors to retail for
twice as much.
Spitfire Doors is recognised as
a true luxury brand, with each
door combining premium quality
Schueco aluminium profiles with
engineering excellence. The S-500
Series specifically offers a very
high level of certifiable security,
having passed level RC3, at IFT
Rosenheim in Germany and
PAS24 at BSI in the UK. This,
coupled with exceptional thermal
performance (U-Values as low as
0.7 W/m2K), and the opportunity
to design your own door, really
does offer homeowners to create
their own perfect entrance.
