SOLIDOR’S REVOLUTIONARY CLOUD
Solidor continues to innovate in the
composite door sector and its latest,
Solidor Cloud is truly revolutionary.
Using the live order tracking facility
customers can find out where orders are
on the system, call up old jobs, order
replacement parts and even log any
complaints. Customers can choose delivery
dates and addresses and be notified of any out
of stock issues.
Recommended and Premium Installers
can upload new showroom images, update
opening times and order POS and other
marketing support materials. Trade suppliers
can benefit from their own software solution
that will integrate to the Solidor Cloud.
Customers will receive news and product
updates directly to their desktops.
The whole system can be integrated with the
new sales generator software which enables
Solidor customers to have the Door Designer
software integrated within their own websites
and with it, place orders through the cloud
directly to Solidor in a paperless environment.
When a consumer designs a door on a Solidor
customer’s website they will be notified via
e-mail, an automatic quote with the required
margin is generated and then sent on a
Solidor Recommended or Premium installer
e-mailer template.

ROOMS AND VIEWS WOW
REDROW WITH LINIAR!
Window manufacturer, Rooms
and Views has been working
with new property developers,
Redrow Homes for 14 years – so
the Chester company was its
first choice for a new luxury
homes development, ‘Abode’ in
Buckley, aimed at the younger
house buyer.
Redrow’s designers wanted a
combination of traditional and
contemporary in one dwelling.
The windows were critical so
Redrow approached Rooms and
Views to ask if it was possible to
create the look they wanted.
Rooms and Views thought
of the Liniar flush sash PVCu
window, and took a sample of
the lead-free, energy-efficient
window, foiled in flat grey for
a modern edge, to Redrow. It
is modelled on a traditional
pre-1935 timber window style,
with a z-section and two seals.
The window sash fits flush to
the frame for great aesthetics,
unlike a ‘standard’ PVCu
window. Made with Liniar’s
multi-chambered PVCu profile,
the flush sash offers a much
higher thermal performance than
timber, achieving a U-value of
1.3 W/m²k – and is virtually
maintenance-free.
Redrow even built a house
within its head office to see what
the windows would actually look
like!
The team was delighted with the
finished result both for appearance
and ease of installation.

Distinction Door’s Nan Ya composite
slab remains at cutting edge
Distinction Doors was the first
to introduce the composite slab
to the UK market and today,
with more than two million
units sold, it is the UK market
leader in composite doors,
thanks largely to the pedigree
of the Nan Ya slab it has always
used. In the UK market since
2000, it is in a process of
continual development so its
qualities remain at the cutting
edge.

With stunning aesthetics,
it is available in a wide range
of colours and styles for
personalisation, and the high
impact-resistant GRP skin
protects against knocks and
scratches. But these good
looks are backed up with
some impressive performance
benefits.
It’s the most thermally efficient
door on the market – tests proved
it to be 19% more thermally
efficient than its rival 48mm
solid timber core composite door,
thanks to the Nan Ya slab’s CFCfree PU foam core technology,
an environmentally-responsible
material.
It also offers unparalleled
security even withstanding
an attack from a police-issue
battering ram; plus exceptional
weatherproofing and an equally
exceptionally manufacturer’s
warranty.
