door solution, including two
of its award-winning High
Security Aluminium Communal
Entrance Doors, for an exclusive
apartment development in
Ainsdale, Merseyside.
Manufactured from heavy-gauge
aluminium, the aestheticallypleasing doors have been installed
to the front and rear of the
development, built by Sand
Developments Ltd next to the rail
station in Shore Road.
Combining kerb appeal with
market-leading strength, security
and durability, all Total Glass
communal entrance doors carry
Secured by Design and PAS23
& PAS24 accreditation on both
magnetic and electronic shoot bolt
locking versions, assuring residents’
safety at all times.
The Liverpool-based PVC-U
and aluminium fabricator also
manufactured 80 quality white
PVC-U windows for the building,
including four smoke windows to
the landings that are operated by
automatic actuators in the event
of fire.
Internal composite fire-rated
entrance doors were also supplied
for each of the 12 apartments, plus
French Doors and single PVC-U
doors with sidelights opening onto
external balconies.
Due to the development’s coastal
location, corrosion-resistant
austenitic stainless steel hardware
was supplied throughout to ensure
long-term performance and satisfy
BS 7412:2002 Class 4 Corrosion

at Stoke’s newest school.
The £22m Ormiston Horizon
Academy opened its doors to
over 1000 pupils following a two
year project to replace the James
Brindley Science College under
the Building Schools for the
Future programme.
Designed and constructed by
Balfour Beatty, the purposebuilt accommodation provides
exceptional resources for students
and the local community in a
two-storey, four wing building
housing various basic and
specialised classrooms.

Performance thermally enhanced
casement windows offer the
designer a wide and diverse range of
profiles that will provide structural
integrity, weather performance,
thermal enhancement and security.
The Thermal range is designed
to aid compliance with the latest
