A ‘ MINI ’ MAGAZINE FOR A MAJOR MILESTONE
While building insulation has been a hot topic and we have all been venting about ventilation for what seems like forever now , June 15th came and went , and with it , the revised building regulations came into force , as warned .
» HOWEVER , WITH TRADE BODIES AND ASSOCIAtions still in conversation with Government ,
installers still not sure where they stand , some fabricators on board and other manufacturers not happy at all – many will be still thinking ‘ What the F is Part F ’ and ‘ How the L do we deal with Part L ?’
In short , the subject of revised building regulations did not end on June 15th , it was just the beginning . Over the past six months , we have seen plenty of information and guidance from all levels of fenestration , but until the revised regulations came into force , it was still extremely difficult to give advice on something that hadn ’ t happened yet .
Less than a month on , Clearview has collated – what we believe – to be some of the most in-depth information on the changes that came into effect on June 15th . From trade bodies , we
have the update on where we are with building regulations , what it means for fenestration and what happens next . We have features on glazing , aluminium , conservatories , rooflights , and of course trickle vents ; compliance , customer service , testing and certification .
There was far too much to fit all in one magazine , which is why we produced this stand-alone industry issues supplement . In the face of uncertainty for many though , what has been reassuring is the amount of brands and businesses willing to get on-board , give advice , adapt as needed , and support their customers through these changes .
We hope this ‘ mini ’ magazine helps you navigate these major milestone and I ’ d love to know what you think ( on both ).
Gemma
