MORE THAN MACHINERY: A £ 400,000 STATEMENT OF INTENT FROM CWG CHOICES

CWG Choices has invested £ 400,000 in its manufacturing capabilities as part of a wider commitment to modernising its operations, improving efficiency and creating a stronger foundation for future growth.

The investment includes a new STUGA CNC machining centre at the company’ s Aldridge manufacturing facility, marking an important step in its ongoing programme to improve manufacturing processes and make better use of technology.

With a renewed focus under Managing Director Howard Trotter, CWG is taking a fresh look at the business, identifying opportunities to strengthen its product offering, streamline operations and become more commercially competitive.
The STUGA machinery will support a more efficient manufacturing process, helping to reduce unnecessary manual operations, improve accuracy and achieve greater consistency. The investment is primarily focused on CWG’ s PVCu manufacturing operation, with the aim of streamlining production and maintaining the product quality customers expect.
Manufacturing efficiency is one of the key priorities for the new leadership team. By simplifying processes, reducing waste and making the best use of its facilities, CWG aims to create a more consistent and reliable operation that delivers benefits throughout the business and, ultimately, to its customers.
In an increasingly competitive market, operating efficiently is essential. However, the investment is about more than reducing costs. It is also about ensuring the business has the flexibility and manufacturing capacity to support its future ambitions.
CWG’ s immediate focus is on maximising the potential of its existing product range. With an extensive portfolio already in place, the company sees significant opportunities to develop established customer relationships and bring new customers into the business. Its manufacturing capabilities must be ready to support that growth.
The investment comes after a challenging period for the industry, with manufacturers and installers continuing to face considerable pressures. Nevertheless, CWG sees significant opportunities ahead. Being part of Inwido Group gives the business the confidence and support to invest for the long term, with a clear belief that companies willing to evolve and invest wisely will be best positioned when market conditions improve.
For customers, the priority is a manufacturing partner they can rely on, delivering consistently high-quality products, competitive pricing
and dependable service. While customers may not see the machinery itself, improvements in internal efficiency are intended to create a stronger foundation for delivering that experience.
The investment also reflects CWG’ s commitment to its people. The company’ s experienced workforce is one of its greatest strengths, and combining that knowledge with advanced manufacturing technology will provide opportunities for employees to develop new skills and work with more sophisticated equipment. The aim is to create an environment where people can grow alongside the business.
The STUGA CNC is just one element of a wider strategy. Alongside modernising manufacturing, CWG is reviewing its product portfolio, improving internal processes and exploring how technology, including AI and automation, can enhance the way it works and interacts with customers. Developing existing relationships and attracting new
business that complements its long-term ambitions remain equally important.
There is a genuine sense of excitement about the direction CWG Choices is heading. With a strengthened leadership team, the backing of Europe’ s largest window and door group, an established customer network and a hugely experienced workforce, the foundations are already in place.
The focus now is on unlocking the potential within the business and continuing to evolve— not only in the products it manufactures, but also in the technology, service and overall experience it delivers.
By investing in its factories, its people and its customers, CWG Choices is demonstrating confidence in the business and its future. The £ 400,000 commitment is about more than new machinery; it represents a determination to build a stronger, more efficient, profitable and sustainable business for the years ahead.
