SAFEWARE NAMED G26 AWARD FINALIST

Safeware has once again been announced as a finalist at the G Awards, securing a place in the Component Supplier of the Year category. The latest recognition follows Safeware’ s success at the 2025 G Awards, where the hardware specialist won Promotional Campaign of the Year.
» SAFEWARE’ S G26 ENTRY highlighted strong year-on-year growth, expansion into new markets and strategic relationships with leading hardware manufacturers, alongside the company’ s continued evolution beyond traditional hardware distribution.
Among the developments showcased was Safeware’ s long-standing partnership with Yale and its role in bringing connected smart security to the fenestration market, including the development of SensCheck™ technology and the industry’ s first smart hardware solution for aluminium windows.
Rob Hartill, Commercial Director at Safeware, said:“ We’ re delighted to once again be named as a G Awards finalist. Following our win last year, it’ s fantastic recognition
for the Safeware team and for the strong relationships we’ ve built with our customers and manufacturing partners.”
Rob said:“ Our focus has always been on creating value beyond simply supplying hardware. By understanding the challenges our customers face, we can identify opportunities
and develop solutions that improve performance, reduce costs and strengthen their competitive position.”
The entry also demonstrated Safeware’ s consultative approach to hardware specification, highlighting a major composite and fire door project, alongside the
development of its turnkey trade counter proposition for replacement window and door hardware.
Today, Safeware supplies more than 2,500 tested and accredited hardware products through over 70 strategic manufacturing partners, supported by ongoing investment in testing, accreditation, technical support and product development.
Rob concluded:“ To follow last year’ s G Award win by being named a finalist again is a great achievement. It’ s testament to the hard work of the entire Safeware team and the support of our customers and partners. We’ re looking forward to celebrating with everyone at the G Awards on Friday 27th November.”

New Cotswold Prestbury friction stay

Carl F Groupco has further expanded its product portfolio with the new Prestbury Egress Easy Clean Restricted Friction Stay from Cotswold Architectural Products.
» PRESTBURY’ S FULL-WIDTH restrictor is shielded beneath the third arm of the hinge, protecting it from lifting, bending or arm clash. Child safety is further enhanced through a load-dependent release mechanism. When the sash is restricted, the weight of the window prevents the release button from being pressed. The sash must first be closed to remove the load before the restriction can be deliberately overridden.
When required, Prestbury provides true full egress, for emergency escape and rescue access. Its easy-clean function uses a simple press-and-slide operation, while the high-visibility green release tab is instantly identifiable when needed. Once cleaning is complete, simply closing and reopening the window automatically returns the stay to restricted mode, eliminating the need for manual repositioning.
For fabricators, Prestbury is supplied in dedicated matched pairs, simplifying ordering and helping to prevent stock imbalance. Performance and durability are equally important, with Prestbury tested to 25,000 cycles for long-term reliability.
