Elegance Collection expanded with timber-inspired designs

» ENTRANCE COMPOSITE DOOR Solutions has expanded its Elegance Collection with new designs developed to deliver a more authentic timber-inspired appearance while retaining the performance benefits of a GRP composite door.
Officially launched on July 1, the updated collection introduces the Evoke, a six-panel moulded door design alongside the new Contour Traditional cassette, which has been developed to replicate the appearance of traditional timber mouldings. These additions build on the existing Elegance Collection, which previously featured a flush slab option and Urban cassette.
Gregory Kelly, Managing Director at Entrance Composite Door Solutions, said:“ The market is seeing growing demand for entrance doors with a more authentic timber appearance, but with the benefits of modern composite materials.
“ We developed the updated Elegance Collection to give installers more choice when customers want traditional styling combined with the durability, security and low-maintenance benefits of a GRP composite door.”
The collection features smooth skin finishes, moulded panels and traditional-style glazing options, providing design choices for period properties and contemporary homes seeking a softer, more traditional aesthetic.
Available with the same 17-day lead time as other painted doors supplied by the company, the updated Elegance Collection meets PAS24 and Part Q security standards. The door performance report provides a thermal performance figure of 1.2 W / m ². K.
The collection supports the firm’ s‘ Entrance Way’ concept, helping installers create entrance doors that balance considered design with the practical benefits of modern GRP composite construction.

‘ Preserving the integrity of one of Britain’ s best-known names in steel windows and doors’

» CRITTALL WINDOWS IS reinforcing the importance of protecting its iconic steel window and door brand following a UK Intellectual Property Office ruling that declared a similar trademark invalid.
The UKIPO decision reflects Crittall’ s long-standing commitment to safeguarding a name that has become synonymous with authentic steel windows and doors. Built over more than 175 years, the Crittall brand is recognised for British manufacturing, quality and enduring design.
Following a challenge by the Essex-based firm, the tribunal concluded that a Crittall Style Doors trademark was likely to create confusion with the
existing Crittall trademark and had been registered in bad faith. The trademark has been declared invalid and Crittall was awarded costs.
Russell Ager, Managing Director of Crittall Windows,
said:“ The Crittall name represents more than 175 years of British manufacturing and innovation. Protecting our trademark helps ensure architects, specifiers, homeowners and trade customers
can continue to identify genuine Crittall products with confidence.”
The Crittall trademark was registered in 1928 to protect the company’ s name and reputation. Today, it ensures that the Crittall name is reserved exclusively for windows manufactured by the firm, giving customers confidence in the quality and authenticity of every product.
By protecting its trademark, Crittall is helping to distinguish genuine products from those marketed using similar branding, preserving the integrity of one of Britain’ s best-known names in steel windows and doors.
