Insight Data celebrates 20 years of turning market intelligence into growth

» INSIGHT DATA IS CELEBRATING its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of helping businesses across the fenestration, construction and building products sectors make better-informed decisions about sales and marketing.
Founded by Andrew Scott in 2006, Insight Data was created after he experienced first-hand the problems caused by poor-quality, outdated marketing data. At the time, businesses often relied on static lists, spreadsheets and industry contacts to identify potential customers, with little reliable information available to help them target the right prospects.
Insight Data set out to change that by providing accurate, regularly updated market intelligence. The business subsequently built a dedicated research operation and developed technology that gave customers access to live data rather than relying on outdated lists.
Salestracker, first launched in 2008, was central to that development. Now, almost two decades later, a new generation of Salestracker is being introduced as a growth platform, bringing together market intelligence, sales management and marketing functionality to help businesses identify opportunities, manage prospects and turn insight into commercial results.
The also marked its 20th anniversary with EDGE by Insight, a dedicated business growth event taking place on September 17 in Bromsgrove, Birmingham. An event designed to bring together industry professionals to explore practical approaches to growth, marketing, technology and commercial decision-making.
Andrew Scott, founder and CEO, said:“ When I started Insight Data, the aim was straightforward: give businesses better information so they could make better decisions. Twenty years later, the technology has changed enormously, but that fundamental need has not.
“ Our focus now is on helping businesses understand their markets more clearly, identify genuine opportunities and use that intelligence to drive sustainable growth. That is what EDGE and the next generation of Salestracker are all about.”
Two decades on, Insight Data is still focused on what comes next. With EDGE and the new Salestracker growth platform, it is helping businesses turn better intelligence into better decisions, stronger opportunities and growth for the next 20 years.

Keylite Roof Windows partners with Data Yard to simplify compliance

» WITH MORE THAN 10 major product categories, including roof windows, flat roof systems, loft ladders and roof lanterns, identifying the right product to meet the requirements of a specific project can be challenging.
To support this, Keylite has partnered with Data Yard, the UK’ s building materials product data exchange platform, to publish structured product data, including compliance data relating to the Building Safety Act and the newly updated Future Homes Standard.
Data Yard was specifically developed in response to increasing legal and regulatory demands. The platform offers merchants and installers
access to comprehensive data completeness and standardisation reporting, helping them understand current and future product information requirements. Merchants and buying groups can quickly and easily access accurate information, reducing the time spent reformatting data and correcting incomplete product records.
Data Yard also integrates with ERP systems, e-commerce platforms and catalogue management, reducing manual data entry and the risk of error. This helps improve product listings, reduce customer queries and returns, and enhance online sales performance.
Better product data leads to more accurate listings, stronger
search visibility and increased product exposure. Partnering with Data Yard enables Keylite to provide its merchant and installer partners with the accurate, up-to-date information they need to maximise sales opportunities.
Ross Telford, Head of Marketing at Keylite Roof Windows, said:“ We’ re delighted to launch Keylite’ s PIM data onto the Data Yard platform. It includes everything merchants and trade customers need, in the right format, to upload directly or link straight into their ERP systems.
“ The data also covers product descriptions, features and imagery, giving customers everything required for a full e-commerce listing of Keylite products on their own website platforms. We’ ve seen increasing requests for richer product data, and standardisation of information is key in the construction industry with the diverse range of products available. This partnership makes it far easier for our partners to access what they need, when they need it.”
