Four Days, Four Magazines … No Pressure
Easter has been and gone for another year and, if you are anything like us, the long weekend was very welcome. A bit of downtime, too much chocolate, and the good intentions of coming back refreshed and ready to go again.
» THEN REALITY KICKS IN. THE FOUR-DAY WEEK. Now, in theory, a shorter week sounds ideal. In practice, when you have four magazines to produce, it does rather highlight the challenge. Sadly, we cannot just do one a week and put our feet up for the rest of the month. If only it were that simple.
At Clearview Group, having four titles means we naturally fall into a rhythm where each magazine gets its own dedicated focus. It keeps us organised and ensures each one gets the attention it deserves. This month is a particularly important one as we bring you the Spring 2026 issue of DIJ. It also marks a full year since we first started work on what was then simply referred to as the‘ new magazine’. Seeing how it has developed over that time has been hugely rewarding and a reminder of what can be achieved with consistency and a clear plan.
Alongside Pro Installer and The Locksmith Journal, our portfolio now allows us to cover every part of the sector in some capacity. That kind of diversification is something we are seeing more and more across the industry itself. Many companies are expanding into new product areas, exploring different systems, and finding fresh ways to grow their market share. It is a natural response to a competitive landscape and one that keeps the sector moving forward.
This issue also sees the introduction of a new feature, Why Quality Matters. It is a phrase that gets used a lot, but for us it has a very straightforward meaning. Quality is about producing content that is useful, relevant, and worth your time. It is about consistency across every issue and every title. And it is about making sure that what we publish genuinely reflects the industries we are part of.
So yes, the short week may fly by a little faster than we would like. But with the right focus and a bit of teamwork, it is still amazing what can be achieved in four days. We hope you enjoy the issue.
See you next time, Gemma
