Kevin McLaughlin, has been appointed as Technical and Compliance Manager to lead Adaston’ s technical compliance and competency functions.
As compliance and regulation are complex and constantly changing, Kevin will ensure that Adaston continues to provide market-leading consultancy, surveys and the Golden Thread of information that guarantees a fully transparent, audit-ready compliance data trail.

Kevin is supported by Alan Smith, who joins as Lead Surveyor to head up a growing team of five surveyors.
Further strengthening the firm’ s operational core is Daniel Parry, who takes on the newly created role of Head of Continuous Improvement. Oliver Holmes also joins as Cost Manager with 15 years of industry experience to lead the estimating function.

The expansion is rounded out by Nigel Tomlinson as Contracts Manager and Samantha Chesson as Key Account Manager.
Samantha, formerly National Key Account Manager for Arnold Laver, part of National Timber Group, will strengthen the strategic customer support for Adaston’ s clients, driving industry standards in customer service and retention.

The appointments come as Adaston bolsters its national footprint, securing a multi-year year contract with Swindon Borough Council with a potential value of £ 3.5m.

» SLIDING AND FOLDING door hardware manufacturer, P C Henderson, have recently relaunched their popular Pocket Door Pro Fire Rated system, expanding the certified specification to include a range of new features such as self-closing and soft close functionality.
Designed to meet the growing demand for high-performance and space-saving door solutions alongside enhanced fire safety compliance, Pocket Door Pro Fire Rated is certified to BS EN 1634-1, achieving E30 standards and offering 30 minutes of fire protection when installed with an FD30 rated door as part of a compliant door assembly.
The system is designed for doors weighing up to 120kg

and sizes up to 2315mm x 930mm, as well as catering for finished wall thicknesses of 145mm or 150mm after double boarding. The newly certified system incorporates both the pocket door hardware and a certified timber liner kit, complete with intumescent strips to help prevent the spread of fire for up to 30 minutes.
The relaunch further enhances P C Henderson’ s firerated offering with the addition of a certified self-close and soft close functionality. The selfclose ensures the door returns reliably to the closed position, while the soft close mechanism improves user experience and durability by preventing doors from slamming. in the fire test to achieve fire certification – including round and square flush pulls with a door edge pull, allowing the door to be easily retrieved from the cavity.
