Annual Predictions

Strong today, even stronger tomorrow- Chigwell Window Centre eyes 2026 with confidence

Chigwell Window Centre’ s £ 4m investment in a new 45,000 square foot premises at Centurion Business Park near Colchester in Essex last June marked the commencement of its significant expansion plans for 2026 and beyond.

This substantial investment included the new premises, which is double the size of the previous location, new equipment, and additional staff to meet increased manufacturing capacity and service a growing order book.
This move signalled the beginning of a thorough overhaul of the production process. New machinery and further investment in“ Systems” will streamline product flow. This technological leap will boost revenue through improved stock management and availability, leading to increased sales, shorter lead times, and greater scalability. It will also open up new sales channels.
Investment in new machinery is also a key component of CWC’ s expansion plans. Supercut 5 and Supercut 6 have already been installed, but it’ s a WLS CN end milling machine designed to perform specific milling operations on PVC profile heads that is the exciting new arrival early next year.
It has been specifically commissioned to manufacture Chigwell Window Centre’ s exciting new product for 2026,“ Layla”, the true timber alternative using REHAU Rio profiles, some of the most advanced in the market today. This unique jointing system replicates traditional timber windows perfectly.
WLS makes it possible to obtain an innovative angle coupling by re-proposing the 90 ° joint of the wooden window frame. The aesthetic effect is also combined with the advantage of no longer having to carry out cleaning on this side, the joint itself being finished after the normal welding operation.
Managing Director Sunny Singh explains:“ Manufacturing this exciting new product ourselves is a real game-changer for the company. We’ re believed to be the only fabricator in the UK offering Rehau Rio flush sash in a fully welded form and we’ re confident our commercial trade and retail customers will really love it.”
For the past decade, Chigwell Window Centre was based at Hainault Business Park, with its four factories and distribution hub occupying multiple sites in the area. The new premises consolidated all manufacturing and distribution facilities under one roof, doubling capacity significantly, accelerating production, and simultaneously reducing the company’ s carbon footprint.
Dean Floyd, CEO of Chigwell Window Centre, says,“ The rapid expansion of our business in recent years necessitated the relocation to larger premises that would

consolidate all business operations. The search commenced late last year, and when we identified this new business park near Colchester, its size and location proved ideal. Directly adjacent to the A120, it opened up new markets in the East of England, further solidifying our position as a leading window and door manufacturer in the South East and beyond.”
Sunny Singh, Managing Director of Chigwell Window Centre, adds:“ The transformation of our business has been significant. Despite the challenges faced by businesses in recent years, we are proud of the company’ s growth over a relatively short period. The changes we have implemented have positioned us well for the New Year and beyond.”
Sunny concludes:“ With all the necessary components in place, Chigwell Window Centre PLC is well-positioned to continue its expansion plans, introduce new products, and forge partnerships to enhance our position as one of the South East’ s leading window and door manufacturers.”
