Keep-mounted sensor expands smart security offering

» FABRICATORS AND INSTALLERS can now offer smart-compatible hardware for more entry points around the home than ever before with Yale’ s expanded range of SensCheck™ compatible door and window locks.
As part of this expansion, Yale has launched a new keep-mounted SensCheck™ sensor, which is compatible with the Lockmaster AutoEngage and Lockmaster 28mm. This innovation ensures that every lock sold is smart-compatible, eliminating the need for modifications, simplifying installation, and allowing fabricators to offer advanced smart compatible security with ease.
SensCheck™ now extends coverage of smart-compatible products across a wider range of entry points, including composite doors, PVCu doors, side doors, bifold doors, PVCu casement windows, and aluminum windows.
Additionally, SensCheck™ window sensors are now compatible with Mustang window locks, alongside Yale’ s Shootbolt and Rapide window locks. This enhanced compatibility makes it even easier for fabricators and installers to integrate smart security solutions into both PVCu and aluminium windows.
Benefits for Homeowner
With SensCheck™, homeowners can be notified via the Yale Smart Living Alarm App if their doors are open or closed, locked or unlocked, and whether their windows are open, locked, or vented.
The system also sends alerts to users, via the app, if doors or windows are tampered with and offers full or partial arming options when used with a Sync Alarm Kit, depending on user preferences. A Geofencing feature allows users to receive alerts on their smartphone or smartwatch if any doors or windows are open or unlocked as they leave their home.
The range has been BSI Kitemarkaccredited for IoT security, providing reassurance that it functions securely and reliably as part of an interconnected home, and is Secured by Design-approved, supporting the UK police initiative to improve home security through robust security solutions.
Brett Evans, Technical Director at Yale, comments:“ Smart technology is exploding in the UK, with online searches leaping from 160,780 in 2023 to 247,940 in 2024, and 79 % of potential home movers now saying they want their next home to be a smart home.”
