Walking the Walk

And just like that, the doors have closed on another successful FIT Show – and what an event it was! Sunshine has almost become synonymous with the NEC, and this year, it wasn’ t just the weather that was bright. The atmosphere inside was just as vibrant, especially on Wednesday, when the halls were buzzing with energy.
» AS PUBLISHERS, WE OFTEN JOKE THAT IF EXHIBITORS have time to chat with us, it probably means they should be engaging with their customers instead! However, this year, there was a perfect balance. We had ample opportunities to connect with our customers, observe them in action with their own clients, and explore all the incredible products, services, and support on offer. It truly was an ideal mix.
You can expect an official review in our June issue, but before then, a big thank you to everyone who contributed to the FIT Show supplement. Wasn’ t it great to see the Morley Glass magazine on the door as you walked through the entrance? Now, the question is – what do we do with the next two years ahead? The show always feels like it passes in the blink of an eye, but there’ s so much more to discover and explore in the meantime.
For us, events like the FIT Show bring our magazine to life. Every stand feels like a page, feature, or ad in our publication, and your customers – our readers – are walking through the halls, discovering what’ s new and exciting. If every show is like an issue of the magazine, we understand just how crucial it is to maintain momentum – before, during, and after the event. These shows are a source of inspiration and connection for us all, and they add an entirely new dimension to everything we cover on the pages of the magazine.
At Clearview HQ, we’ re already working on the June issues – can you believe we’ re halfway through the year? Just as events like FIT allow us to check in every two years( or more frequently for others), we feel fortunate to have monthly milestones in the industry. Our magazine plays a vital role in keeping everyone up to date with the what, where, who, why, and when of windows, doors, and beyond.

25 in’ 25- celebrating industry milestone

» THE GLAZERITE UK Group is marking its 25th year in fenestration by shining the spotlight on its supplier partners and the contribution they’ ve made to the success of the fabricator and its installers.
Glazerite Group Managing Director Rob Brearley explains:“ When Glazerite was launched in the year 2000, it operated from a single premises in Northamptonshire, where a handful of staff fabricated just one VEKA product, each driven by a desire to deliver high-quality windows to customers.
“ Today we’ ve grown into a multi-site, UK-wide operation, and have become one of VEKA’ s largest fabricators. Though we operate on a much bigger scale, providing installers with high-quality products remains at the heart of our business and the remit of every one of our employees.”
Glazerite’ s nationwide footprint enables the fabricator to deliver to installers across the UK from its divisions in Wellingborough, Bolton, Bristol, Peterborough and its recently opened Barnsley site, which focuses exclusively on manufacturing the full range of Deceuninck products.
Rob adds:“ The partnerships Glazerite has built with trusted brands like VEKA, Deceuninck, ALUK, Residence Collection, DoorCo, Brisant and Avantis have all played a huge part in the business we are today. We are always looking to expand and evolve our offering for the benefit of our installers, and this year we’ ve added to our hardware offering with the welcome addition of Yale, Roto and Carl F Groupco.
“ We invest in our supplier relationships by building partnerships forged on communication and innovation. Our suppliers support installers with marketing materials and enhanced guarantees, which, combined with our own value-added solutions, transform the business ambitions of our customers.
“ The combined might of Glazerite’ s supplier base has enabled us to grow our business to flex around the needs of our installers and deliver what their end customers want, whether that is a heritage window, a specific colour or the latest in composite doors or locking technology.
“ Given how far we’ ve come in 25 years, we’ re excited to see what the future will bring for Glazerite, our suppliers and our installers.”
